@Savvy_Sue I think the trace of blue in the ribbing is genius.
I'm still sewing in ends on my vest but only the front to do, then blocking and the rib. Have started my KAL but haven't been lured in to the first pattern ...quite. Plus I don't have the yarn from stash and I'm not going to add to stash without a GOOD REASON, (aka my b/day).

@Savvy_Sue - of course club colours! That's such a lovely touch! Do clubs have their own vest pattern?Fashion on the Ration 2025 37/662

The cricket vest is lovely @Savvy_Sue. I’m sure your great-nephew will be overjoyed to receive it and will wear it with pride.

The cricket pullover has had its first outing to the Oval today, although apparently a bit warmer than really required today. DGN looks very cheeky in it, and there is plenty of room for growth.
I'm now wondering what to knit next ... I have wool for a cardigan, and for socks, neither of which I actually need. I am pondering a triangular shawl for which I have a pattern and would use up some mohair, but it starts at the long end and decreases, whereas my instinct is to start at the thin end and stop as soon as it's big enough ...Signature removed for peace of mind5 -
@Savvy_Sue - an outing to the Oval - that's lovely and very appropriate.
Well I have a big pile of colourwork project finishing off to do - aka weaving in ends/blocking/sewing up etc. My next project will, most certainly, be in a single colour.

Good idea @Katiehound.
@Savvy_Sue I had a look on Ravelry for a shawl knitted point up, and came across this one which was published in Knitty in 2012. (The link is to Knitty.). Might be worth a try.
I have a couple of FO’s to share, two pairs of fingerless mitts made from leftover stash:
(No idea why my hands look so blue.).
The pink ones are for a very good friend, who requested a pair. It was hand-dyed by the Natural Fibre Company and bought in ? 2007. (I made a pair of socks in it, which promptly shrank.) There wasn’t quite enough to make mitts long enough to cover my friend’s hands, hence the 5-rounds-deep white borders.
The grey ones are another pair made from the leftovers from knitting a pair of socks. I actually started them first for my friend, then decided they were more me than her, so had another hunt to find something in pink to go with her wardrobe.
Also completed is a Five Hour Baby Sweater, which I knitted for one of DH’s ex-colleagues, whose baby is due any minute now.
(I love the ladybird buttons.)
Searching for the yarn to make that has put me on a serious yarn diet. It made me realise just how much I have stashed away. I’m probably at SABLE.
