**Amy**'s Debt Free Diary!

Hi Everyone

Thought it would be a good idea to do my own diary on here, mainly to keep myself motivated!

Well as you can see from my signature my debt is slowly going down, and I have worked out I should be debt free around May 2009, however i really want to be debt free by the end of 2008, so i can do the new year, new start!

Anyway, i have made some money selling things on ebay (anything not nailed down... the cats are next...:rotfl: ), and Amazon.

I am waiting on a cheque from a claim on one of the cats Pet Insurance (£100) which will go straight into the savings.

I also have an engagement ring from my last relationship (split up August last year), whcih i would like to sell so thats something to look into.

Plus i have just contacted the ex and asked for some money he owes me (all in all he owes me around £2,500 but i doubt i will get £50!!!).

I really want to make an extra £250 a month to be debt free by end 2008.

Lets hope i can do it!

    Morning

Well last night I sold my poor little car for £60! I was going to have to scrap it so i probably saved myself some money. I also have 6 months tax to reclaim so thats something.

I am selling my old ring today, so will report back on what i sell that for.

Im going for dinner with my sister tonight, but we arent going out afterwards so that shouldnt be more than £20 which is in my budget.

Well done Amy, your making a good start to the year already. You've already paid off over £1000 off. Keep going and good luck selling the ring.

Just a thought, but do you have any old mobile phones lying around the house. I've just made £43 by selling them onto a company....

I've always used Envirophone but recently found Mazuma Mobile, they pay out a bit more and the phones I posted off to them last Saturday were received, checked and I had the cheque yesterday so they offer a much faster service.

They also bought a phone off me that Envirophone didn't list.

What sort of things did you sell on e-bay? Have got loads of 'junk' here that I keep meaning to put on e-bay but never getting around to.
  • Hi,
Just a thought but as you've split up with your partner who gave you the engagement ring, technically it's his property if you're not going to follow through with the wedding.

However, if he owes you 2500k you could accept that in lieu of some of it.

Just tell him you've done him a favour sold the ring for x and taken it off his bill!
