UK Soccer Shop troubles?

Hi anyone
Recently purchased a top from uksoccershop.com, but through either ebuyer or edirectory.com (think it was the latter but cant remember now, and at work so all sites are blocked!)
The price quoted in my email from e(buyer/directory) was £43.74 WITH P&P. I was also told in this email that if i had any problems or queries I was to contact the shop direct, not go through ebuy/direct as they were only an affiliate.
A few days later I then received a charge for my transaction through world pay, for £45.24!!! I emailed uksoccershop straight away and asked for the money to be refunded immediately, or cancel the order. Well, yesterday, I received the item, and have had no refund. My email has not been answered, and the number provided 01698 423933 just rings and rings with no answer. I was looking through other sites and someone, posting a comment in 2006, also said exactly the same of the company!
I'm not sure what to do at this stage! I might contact the affiliate company I purchased from (even though I can guarantee at this stage they wont want anything to do with the order!) The OFT are saying to send it back with a covering note, but I'm not expecting a positive outcome from this!
Any advice before I pack it off and send it back? I'll post it recorded post but i'm sure that something will happen resulting in me not getting my money back! Useless.
Cheers

if the price is £43.74 with P & P and you were invoiced £45.24, then isn't the difference the cost of postage?0

UPDATE!
After nearly 2 months of waiting for a refund, I have contacted Trading Standards who are MORE than aware of this company. It is run by an 18 YEAR OLD BOY, and he is way in over his head. His parents and him have been spoken to many a time by the local TS, and continue to have problems with them.I havent seen sight nor sound of my refund (and no fudgeukraine, the FULL price I was quoted included P&P, the extra charge seemingly comes from nowhere) but the point is, under the distance selling act i'm entitled to a refund, and havent been given one! So I have to wait for TS in Lanarkshire to get back to me regarding any action I can takr, but it looks like small claims court! Although that would cost £30, so I'd be getting all of £15 back!!!!
Seems I'm stuck in a corner cos of some little moron who hasnt got a clue how to run a business!! PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE A SHAM!!!0 -
Sorry if I'm being stupid but can I just clarify a few things
You bought an item and were told it would be £43.74 including p+p
It arrived and you discovered the actual price you paid was £45.24 including p+p. a total difference of £1.50.
You do not want the £1.50 back but instead have requested that you get back all the money and in return you will post the item back to them, presumably costing you more than £1.50 as under the distance selling regulations you are responsible to returning the goods if there is no fault with them.
Now you have the goods and you are considering going to court to reclaim the £1.50 or is it the £45.24 and to do this you are willing to spend £30.
While clearly the seller should not be allowed to overcharge you £1.50 I am at a loss as to see exactly what item you have bought at £45.24 that you felt was good value at £43.74 but is so terrible that at £45.24 you are willing to lose £30 to get back on £15.74!0 -
Have you asked Worldpay or your CC company about this?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0

No, basically (if you read the first post) I ordered the goods through e-directory not knowing that they were an affiliate site, so when they informed me that the goods would be shipped from 'uksoccershop' I researched the company, as I wont order direct from anywhere that looks a bit sketchy. It looks like they ARE a bit sketchy, so I was a bit put off to begin with. Then, after I was told the total cost of my order would be £43 something, I was charged £45. I emailed the company to ask why, and rang them, but got absoltely no response! So, was a little miffed at this! I then received the goods, and they were too small, so returned them with a note stating I wanted a refund. I didnt get it after 30 days, so emailed the company again. They replied asking for reference numbers, which I provided them with. Got no reply after that. Mailed again and got no reply at all this time. So contacted Trading Standards, who told me they have had many complaints about them, and now, after persuasion from them, he has agreed to refund the money.
The whole point in possibly taking them to the small claims court, was one out of principle. Too many consumers in this country sit back and let various companies do what they like to them, without any comeback from the customers! Luckily I now dont have to go down that road, as I've been told the refund is on its way, but its more a warning that if people are gonna trade with this company, just to beware, as I've heard some horror stories, DIRECT from trading standards!0 -

Thanks for the explanation, the part where the items were too small and you returned them was the bit missed from your original post. Adding that bit explains just why you are concerned without it your original post did feel a bit of a strange complaint. Good luck with the refund.0 -

I think the original complaint came before the item was received so your original judgement may have been correct.Bought, not Brought0 -
The the "edirectory" bit not give you a clue that it might be a referral site? It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0
