Thankyou Charlotte-have just tried the Insurance quotes, causing a couple of ?s
    1. What is a deal code? Should I obtain one if possible?
    2. Age 56, non-smoker, no health nasties I know of(just creeping decrepitude)but quotes start at £250-ish and rise. At what level is the £5 mthly available, please? Or am I too old to get anything near this level?

Just a warning make sure you read the very small print on any insurance policy. That's what makes the policy, not the big words.

...courtesy of the nice folks at https://www.bobsfreestuffforum.com (which is well worth a browse).

If you look here : http://www.bobsfreestuffforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=52994&start=30 you'll find the necessary (coupon) code mentioned.

There is a code which you enter at the checkout, which will give you 500 bonus clubcard points (worth £5 / £20 in deals) when you spend £1 or more on books. The cheapest I could find (available immediately) was £1.13. I bought "In a Glass Darkly" and with p&p it ended up being £3.86 - so profitable even if you used the points at tesco.

I expect that these points will only get added on a later statement like other deals of this type.

    (haven't seen this on flyertalk...yet)

they've found it - I'm soooooooo glad Tristan will benefit!

Is there anywhere on the site that I can find information of any Tesco deals that give double points on food items on a regular basis?

If you don't already have one, get a ClubCard Plus. Gives you double points on your entire Tesco spend.
