NJO.
I don't think pies count as 'ready meals' - they are in a different section aswell0 -
Charlotte_ wrote:You're right Carl, the post was in July so I guess that means it can't be put down for August. Could a board guide confirm this. Really annoyed as I saw last months post went to someone who recommended something at B&Q and having just read the thread it seems all that hundreds of people got was a large phone bill calling B&Q to complain about not getting the great offer!
Charlotte, don't mind me asking....but what is it you're annoyed about?
If it's because you wanted to nominate this post/poster then don't worry you still can.
However your post reads to me (and others incidentally) that your annoyance is perhaps because you felt that the B&Q thread poster wasn't a worthy winner because of what has since happened. If this is the case then I think you're out of line tbh.
The B&Q poster put the information on site in good faith, it was a fantastic bargain and people did gain from it, including myself. (There are probably also many people who took up this offer but haven't even registered on the site so they're not going to post about it.)
Problems happened with B&Q but the OP can't be held responsible for that, I believe they made a post themselves saying how guilty they felt that people had so much trouble. It's a real shame they felt like this, the problems have got nothing to do with the OP and thankfully many people recognised that as they still nominated. Martin must also have recognised this when he made the B&Q OP the winner last month. It's only become evident now, that B&Q are definately not going to play fair over the situation, but this wasn't known at the time of the offer, or when nominations were made.
If this is what you are 'really annoyed' about then I'm sure Martin wont mind too much if you take the matter up with him, instead of posting your annoyance on site and perhaps making the OP feel even worse, especially since they were trying to do something to help everyone by co-ordinating possible plans of action.
However, if you did not mean your 'really annoyed' remark in this way, then I apologise unreservedly and I shall accept I made a mistake in interpretation.Herman - MP for all!0 -
so do you empty your bank account and/or do it until Tesco put a stop to it.
Unlikely but since it's "Their" Clubcard (just ask Igloo) they can do what they want, so always a possibility. I'd be annoyed if I got £300 worth of beef but no holiday to show for it - but I'm taking the risk anyway. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
chinneybigchops wrote:Does anyone realise that any points on card from 31st July will go over to November points? I found this on another post. I'm well gutted, been buying up loads of beef to go to Amsterdam forweekend, and now I wont have enough. i know I can use them then but was getting so excited about going in October.
I really hope the person on the clubcard helpline who told me 31st July was incorrect about the date for your sake, but she did sound very definite.
Sorry...Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Charlotte_ wrote:I am now annoyed that you've written a whole piece of something totally irrelevant to the topic of this thread. If you want to add anything about our questions to whether this can be nominated for post of the month or in fact anything about extra clubcard points at Tesco then go ahead, if not then I would keep your comments about B&Q to that thread or the discussion area. No doubt you will post a scathing reply which I will choose now to ignore as I'd rather talk about Beef in Gravy! :rotfl:
You get annoyed rather a lot dont you Charlotte?:rolleyes:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I haven't got time to go searching these threads, but please please, someone let me in on the beef thing, it's mentioned everywhere!0

Charlotte - I'm sorry but it was YOU that started about something other than beef wasn't it - saying how you are REALLY ANNOYED.
People have a right to defend the poster as I think you were out of order0 -
Charlotte_ wrote:Thanks Judi for your comments, can only assume that you're wanting to pick a fight, but no thanks. Still rather talk about Beef in Gravy :rotfl:

See here
but as for where do you put them? Well firstly you stuff yourself till your sick of the sight of them, then you feed them to the dog. What you cant get in your freezer, you give away/throw away/donate em to charity etc:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
