I bought one from Boots for £4.99. There are two in the pack. It's not the early indicator one.
I think I'm due on today, but there's nothing happening.
I've only had 2 monthlies since giving up the pill, so not sure about pattern really.
I'm on day 31 at the moment. Is it too early to test? (I started my monthly 28 days after stopping pill, and then the next one was a 30 day cycle. This one (if there is one) will be the next one).Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Why do some areas have appointments with the GP to "confirm" the pregnancy? I've often wondered that. Surely if you do the test yourself that should be sufficient. All I did was ring the midwife in the first couple of weeks, then she came out to the house when I was 9 or 10 weeks for "booking in". I didn't see my GP at all during either pregnancy (just as well seeing as he's detestable and I avoid him at all costs).
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -

That depends not on the way the midwives practice in the area, but on the individual GPs and as people know there will be variation between GPs within a practice.
The best set-up that I have worked with (i'm a MW), was when the lady presented herself as pregnant, and the receptionists just passed their details on to us so that we could go and see them at home to do the booking.0 -
Hi ya, my midwife asked my OH questions when he came with me to see her for the first time (only recently i may add) ... she asked about his family history ie any illnesses etc to know about. She didnt ask him to leave at any stage, but i assume if you take your OH in with you its a good sign you want him there and wont be hiding anything from him.
Personally, he got me pregnant and he'll be there for the birth-so i dont see the point in hiding anything from him now. Its good prep for the big day. But obviously its just my opinion, some ladies dont even have their partner there when they give birth..... everyones different i guess.
I would be open though, if there is something bothering you. It'll only eat you up inside if you keep it bottled up.
Good luck with the pregnancy test btw!
keely.
Edited to add-ive already seen my midwife at 6 weeks because of high blood pressure and medication etc. My next appointment with her is at 9 weeks and then ive got my first scan/antenatal booking at 11 weeks. Ive been told i will be seen more often by my gp or midwife because of the high bp etc.Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0
