Why don't you take the 3.9% offer and then get a cashback card for your shopping?0

I was offered the same deal by MBNA - 1.9% and they were going to apply a £35 fee. If you've got a large credit limit it's probably worth paying since there is still a reasonable margin available and it avoids the hassle of applying for new cards.0 -
Unfortunately £35. but I had a largish credit limit and worked out that in 6 months I should make £126 even with the charge. Thing is for me I need a new car. The cash just is sitting there making money but is ready to go when I find the perfect deal. I will no doubt then have a cheap loan for 6 months and sort something else out next year.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

On £7000 transfer, a fee of £35 over six months equates to an extra APR of 1% - so they're really offering 2.9% for 6 months.
A bit harsh I thought, they offered me 6 months at 0% (with a £35 charge)...0 -
Can anyone confirm if it's possibe to do Super-BT's with the Lloyds TSB Advance credit card?
I activated my new Lloyds TSB Advance card today and tried to do a super-BT to my current account at HSBC. However, they said that I couldn't do this. What now? Credit card cheques?0 -

You can do a BT but not a SBT.. Have you got an EGG card as you can SBT to that then into your current account..0 -
Thanks for the quick response, Smartsaver.
As a matter of fact, I do have an Egg card but I've already done a SBT from that to my current account. Could you just clarify the bit about the BT from the Lloyds credit card to the Egg card? I didn't understand. Sorry.0 -

Ask Lloyds to BT the balance from your Egg card to your Advance card, then SBT from your Egg card to your current account.0 -
You, my friend, are a genius!
