Had twins parents evening today and the results of their mock SATS which they sat last week - both are doing really well A has a little work to do to improve but is doing well and when the real SATS are taken in June he should be coming out a little above average which I am pleased with, he has been reading a lot more in the last few months and this had made SUCH a difference to his English comprehension and spelling. F however is a different kettle of fish - her teacher is bringing in some of her books which she read for her teaching degree as she feels F should now be aiming higher and she's starting her with To Kill a Mocking Bird! She will be above average in every subject so I really hope she and A can get into this school near the new house as it will be the making of them I think!!

Toto, thank you for offer for Friday night but am now sorted - although I daren't tell the twins what they could have been up to at yours as it sounds so good!! They are a little 'clingy' at the moment so a friend has offered to come and stay here and look after them. Perhaps though when we're settled Toto they could all meet?

Spent the morning trying to catch up on missing sleep but only really dozed but at least it was still a rest.

Car was awful on way to and from school this pm, so whatever garage man did obviously wasn't right but he's got it for the day tomorrow so fingers crossed!

  • This Saturday is for recording the show only. I'm not sure when it will be broadcast but no doubt they will let me know and then I shall post a message on here so you can all watch. I understand they will be recording three shows during the day and I could be on all of them. Mind you, I could just sit among the 100 and never get picked out to be the 'One'! So, all digits crossed everybody (a) That I get chosen to be the 'One' to answer questions and, (b) that my general knowledge holds up and I get the big money. Now won't that make for a great celebration? All MOT's MSE Family invited of course.

I've been instructed to take five changes of clothes with me so I don't know what I'll finish up wearing. But by the time it is broadcast I should be able to tell you what I wore. Doubt there'll be any red roses though.

    Hi MOT
it must feel really good to know the twins are doing so well at school after everything thats gone on. I love reading and always have, when I was F's age i loved Michelle Magorian, i also liked Jane Eyre and Oliver Twist (don't know if these are her style tho!)

Ampersand - do you have a choice of which browser to use? If you're using Internet Explorer, then try Firefox, and vice versa. If the problem is something to do with your browser, then it should go away.
