MOT and twins - Start of our new life!

  • I hear they've got one of those magic roundabout thingys' in Swindon too! Actually I find it works for me. You just have to take it carefully. I think some of MOT's mood swing (polite way of saying 'crabby') recently was because her car went in on Thursday for diagnosis of a problem and whilst she had hoped it would be something simple (& cheap) the mechnic has asked to keep the car until Monday as he couldn't find out why it was misbehaving. She is worried about how much it will finish up costing. I have been doing the school runs until the car comes back. Oh and before anyone says anything, the mechanic 'Dave' is one of those honest ones who has very reasonable charges and never takes the p' just because the owner is female. I've used him for years as has my sister and we've never had a problem. He only does what 'has' to be done. Having said this, any bill is going to be one too many for MOT. So, 'mood swings' understandable and allowed MOT. Morning each BTW. Shame about both Italy & England losing! Time for a 'mood swing myself'.

    Morning all,

Had a rotten night awake from 3am then fell asleep at 6 and didn't want to get up! But have to make sure twins are up, washed and dressed and ready for school by 8.10am - then may go back to bed:rolleyes: .

Lay there thinking of new house and what is needed for it (not too much thank goodness!) then was thinking what would we do if the gentleman changes his mind:confused: .

Anyway few bits and pieces to do today such as chase CMHT for appt and give them new temporary address.

    Weathers horrible too!

Hi Sand-dancer, you have hit the nail on the head. I feel as if I could sob my heart and yet don't know why? We are being made more than welcome where we are but somewhere within I have this niggling feeling that something will go wrong and on top of that there is the problem with my car.

Thanks Anna, hope your cold sore isn't too painful!

My contact from CAP is back in the office tomorrow so I will be ringing him to confirm how everything is going and when we can move in - hopefully. It all still seems like such an uphill struggle so a moving date would at least set my mind at rest, then there is arranging of delivery of my furniture from storage and the unpacking of it all again. Can't wait to be settled and able to cope with everyday life and to feel better, then get a part time job not only for the extra money but to have an outside interest from just homelife. Have chased my steroid injection for my hip this morning and apparently it should be within a couple of weeks, so after that providing it works then I can start to exercise again and lose some of this awful weight that I have put on too.
