Romantic weekend break HELP

What about Liverpool, fly to Amsterdam with easyjet for £159 for both of you. Or with jet2.com for £228 from leeds/bradford. Hotels are coming in around £122 for 3* - £200 for 5*.
The flight is only 1 hour, transfer is simple of the plane straight onto the train for 15 mins. Straight of the train into the city of Amsterdam either walk or get a tram (real easy) to your hotel.
Amsterdam is a wonderful city, you could spend a romantic day on a canal boat seeing some great sites, walk round the wonderful vondel park, visit Ann Franks house (real moving) sit at a canal bar and have a few drinks, have a romantic meal at many of the wonderful restaurants, visit the Leipenstiene area great for street entertainers, visit the flower market. And if your really up for it a walk down red light area will open your eyes (but it is not that bad)
I would go for that personally because my hubby took me for a romantic weekend in Amsterdam and it was wonderful and the hotel excellent.
have done a bit of searching for you,but the flights are just to expensive to most other destinations.0 -

this is coming up about £200 but it is nice. But the Victoria is coming up at £165 and this is straight over the road from the station.
the gran krasnopolsky is coming up at £205 and that is on dam square and is also £200
But there are some others that are around £149 and they are around the Leipenstein area this is in the middle of Amsterdam and is a beautiful area. The area around the station where i stayed can be a bit busy.
If i get chance i'll have a look at some good 3* hotels for you that are available should you decide to go for this.0 -

This hotel is a great location straight across from the train station and it gets good reviews. It is also opposit the canal where you can get a day pass and ride the canals (like you do a bus) to go and see all the sites.0 -
