well done discount diva. its always inspirational reading the stories of relatively new members, because they can generally make more drastic savings than those of us who have been around the MSE block a few times and know the tricks. it gets you fired up again, see what a drastic difference this site can make for people, and reminds you why you keep coming back.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

I joined the lunch log challenge and have saved myself £100
I worked out if I bought my petrol when I visited my sister in a different town it saves me 5p a litre, which adds up to a staggering £104.00 a year so this month saved £8
I got inspired by the hamper thread, I have purchased all my boxes and baskets for this year with a number of them marked down from £4.00 to 50p so saved £28
I also bought my wrapping paper for Christmas 2008 marked down from £3 to 30p, 10 rolls saved me £27
Bought a kettle for £4.50 that was mentioned on the Grabbit board and also a camera from Argos at £46
Used advice from the “Boots” thread to gain advantage points and grab myself some bargains mostly for my hampers
I joined the sealed pot challenge but can’t open that until December
I am saving my £2 coins with the £2 savers club, total £100
I am saving a £1 a day for 2008 and will total £31 by the end of the month
Entered a few comps but no wins so far
Purchased enough cellophane wrap to last me 2 years!
So far received £292 from one of my credit cards
And finally completed hampers for
Mothers day
21st birthday
40th Birthday
Baby basket
Easter baskets
And all birthdays until July
All this in 3 weeks!!!
Roll on February, I am so addicted to all this money saving:T
