another vote for Gmail, I've had it for a couple of years now & never get any spam in my inbox, any I do get goes into a seperate folder
also it can be integrated into Outlook Express (so can Hotmail but you have to pay for it now) so you don't have to bother logging on to the Gmail site to get your mail unless you specifically want to
you can set up a filter to direct all your daughter's mail into her own folder in OE
if you get any spam, it's not visible in OE, only on the Gmail site itself
but the best advice of all, as others have said, is to be careful who you give your address to, I know it's not appropriate for your daughter at this stage, but I always have a 'disposable' one I use for signups etc, that I can abandon if it becomes necessary0 -
Yeah I would also again vote for Gmail if you do get any spam it gets send straight to the spam folder it works really well!0
