Actually I've found a couple of the No7 ladies to be most helpful in suggesting things to maximise a deal. One has even gone to the points machine for me to get a voucher I didn't know about.
I find that being polite and friendly and looking a bit vague as to how things work (this last bit comes naturally to me!) gets me the best results in Boots. And I'll back off instantly if something doesn't work and the SA doesn't offer to retry for me. All this Bootsing is fun, but at the end of the day I don't really NEED to get every last offer. I am trying to make a point of not going in for stuff I'll never use...I got one illuminating powder for my daughter, and that's all, even though I could have got more.
On the subject of Ruby & Millie vouchers...I had never tried this stuff untill I bought the big £50 make up set in the 75% off sale, and now I'm totally hooked on their brushes. The big set had...seven(?) ...brushes in it and they are lovely. I'm looking forwards to picking up a few more R&M items, not necessarily the cheapest ones either, but to get normally too expensive items a little more reasonably. It's quite handy to be able to look at the range online, btw, and plan out what to look for.Val.0 -
How long for PC mail stuff to arrive after joining as I've nothing yet to date.
The HC arrived yesterday and PC today; I joined around the start of the new year.
HC leaflet had 2 x £1 off wys £4 on h/care (different valid dates, but same barcode); 100pts wyb hayfever/allergy relief (cheapest = 98p); Free eye test; Save 50p on shapers meal deal.
The activation coupon said "1/2 price products until April '08" Does that mean I'll need a new activation coupon in April?0 -

I agree, in my local store one of the No7 girls is fab and has usually checked out if there are any glitches b4 the store opens on promo change days but if she hasn't worked them all out she's happy to try whatever you give her whereas the other one likes to stick to the t's and c's, but luckily in the same store there are about 4 SA's who let everything go thru' because as they say they are fed up with getting vouchers that don't work when they should, it's head office fault not the customers so they override lots, so I usually go there first to see what works.
Thanks to the person who posted about the Soap and Glory, it's all on a third off so I am going to try the body butter that was on HTLGN while it is cheaper:T0 -
Hi, just a quick question before I head out. if I buy something over £10 and get the £5 off no 7, R&M, JK
Can I go and use this voucher as part of my spend £20 on no 7, i.e. get highlighter power and just buy something no 7 for £5 to get the jewellery box. Would this work?0 -
Just spent ages reading post no.1 - will have to print it out in work tomorrow its so detailed and qute a lot to get your head round.
Think for now I will try the hi-lighter, jewellry box and No. 7 mascara mix - after reading all the posts this seems to be the best.
Just read the last post though and just as i thought id got the hang of things seems to be getting more complicated !
Has any one tried this combo and did it work.0 -

I think it's been tried and works (go back a few pages, it's here somewhere) as long as the original total is over £20 then you should be able to then hand over £5 off voucher (but there's no harm in trying is there , the till will just beep and they will say you can't do that) BUT make sure the last voucher you hand over is the highlighter0 -

I've been thinking about this claire, and it still makes no sense to me - although I am a bit dim when it comes to vouchers and points etc
BUT, the 300 point vouchers that come with the GWP jewellery box is also valid from yesterday.
So, hypothetically, if you'd have spent £20 in the hope of getting the jewellery box, you'd not only have missed out on it, but also on the opportunity to use the voucher IYSWIM
I'm sure someone else will make better sense of it than me, but it seems to me that if the 300 points started yesterday, surely the £5 coupon should have done the sameOh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -
The promo started yesterday, they always start on a Wed, phone cs again, the woman you spoke to was wrong, take the name of the person you speak to today then take your receipt from yesterday back to the store and say you never got a voucher and you spoke to ***** at cs and they said you should have0

Another offer started yesterday too - buy 5 Meal Deals in a month, get the 6th free (silly really starting it on 30 January as at the end of the month, any meals you have which haven't reached 5 get wiped out!). Didn't fancy going back to Boots at lunchtime and buying another 4 so I could get 1 free (I'm a bit of a pig but not that bad:rotfl: ).0

I have had the R&M foundation brush priced at £11, I would rate it just as good as the ones sold at the premium brand counters at over £20, and better than the Boots brand one at £8. I want to buy another with my voucher when I get one.
