Like you'd gain from the majority of tax paid :rolleyes2

I pay over £400 p/m tax on my wages then when I spend my net earnings I get taxed again ....etc.

I don't see any gain from it - get over it ;)

  • Fedz before giving answers such as your last post, perhaps you would care to take a look at your quote from the news article.
YOU were the one who used Alister Darling's wording as an example not me,i just gave a true opinion to his wording.

So i av no need to get over anything.
    LMAO

It doesn't mean you personally gain setmefree on a personal basis where you can actually get the hard earned gain and spend yourself.

What do you want from the government for it to give you some divvy for your share of the tax paid it used to bail out NR?

Why not they are quick enough to hand it out to a failing Bank.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

on another scale many people get refused bank accounts on their credit score, shame the same doesn't apply to failing banks..lol ...

Come on Fedz, don't you agree that the Banks are in the brown stuff without the tax payers money.;)

I'll take your words as literal as you take mine ;)

As you said banks (plural not singular) then my answer is no to banks are in the 'brown stuff' without taxpayers - I totally 101% disagree with you. period.

The NR I agree was/is because it's business model - other banks have a 'portfolio' the world over whereas NR was too specific on where it got it's money from hence the downfall.

Well if that's the case why have failing Banks as stated by the Government been offered secret deals.
Just on the news regarding N.R. it states investors could face years of legal battles, and that the P.M and alistar darling have survived the ridicule short term, but it's far from over.
Now in one of your earlier posts you stated how people were jumping back onto N.R. (I think not)

That's true people were 'jumping back' onto NR to get a savings accounts given the government bailing it out. See the many threads/posts on here discussing and advising posters to open an account :)

Now it's going to be nationalised - where better to save and invest ;)

That's my opinion and opinion is never wrong :D

We will see ,personally i think this is the calm before the storm for the banks ;), if and when it happens to another bank, there will be no confidence whatsoever amongst it's customers.
And Alister Darling's speech showed as much confidence as a hooker offering a leper a b _ _ w job

Quite frankly your analogy was literally laughable given it's pessimistic tone :)
In all honesty you are wanting something you really aren't going to get whether you like it or not - I'm sorry to be honest but, it's true and you know this in all honesty :)
You obviously have a vendetta against banks and it's system for one reason or another instead of being positive and gain from it yourself :)
Whether the government had spent the billions on the Iraq war or bailing NR out you'd not see any personal financial gain with hard cash in your hand.
I'm actually sorry you feel the way you do as you clearly are pessimistic but, I'd rather be positive (which is what's needed) as pessimism is what brings things down ... eg: investors withdrawing monies from the limping NR which compounded the issue to a new low ...
Anyway I'll watch Dispatches tomorrow as I like to see both sides of the coin, I don't see the world with blinkers on ;)
    Your call :)

No i have not got a vendetta at all, what i have seen is a friend who is a single mother have her benefits money taken in charges, this in turn left her with no money to buy nappies. and the banks answer was that's not our problem.
So on those terms i couldn't give a damn about the banking industry :D, as for using the banking industry to a positive view and gaining from them, i think N.R. has shattered any confidence i have.

I think you should also take a look at the poll , nearly half of who have voted also have no confidence in the banking industry, so it's certainly not just isolated cases is it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
