Jet2 Date Changes Admin Fee?

With budget airlines you PAY for items of service that are included in the ticket price of other airlines. What those individual items of service COST the airline is entirely irrelevant (and most people seem to have an incredibly naive view of what makes up costs, anyway, being unable to see beyond the immediate marginal cost of something ).
You weren't really 'forced' to do anything - you chose to travel in the first place, you chose the airline, you chose to change your dates.0 -
booked a flight with jet.2 and they have not sent me confirmation although they have deducted the fare from my account. I have emailed them but they have not replied as they want you to phone the customer services which is an 0906 number so the call would be very expensive. I think this is very unfair of Jet.2 to charge 50p a minute for a mistake they have made.0

This seems to me to be quite an unreasonable charge, apparently it is an admin charge, but as Jet2 is a ticketless airline I cannot understand what admin costs this would incur?

Of course there are admin charges. What you may want to question is whether they are reasonable for the work involved. The admin involved would include the updating of their booking/reservation system by deleting your original reservation and then checking for and making two new reservations on your date. I assume you spoke to someone and their salary needs to be paid. Or are you suggesting that when you go to work you do not expect to be paid?
As stated above you take the adavantage of a no frills ticket but with that comes the disadvantages include no ability to make changes except at a cost. And I would say at £20 each you have not been too badly done by. After all it is not Jet2's fault that you have got to revise your plans, is it?0
