What we see here is a typical example of normal Sky customer service staff making up almost any old lie that will put Sky in a better position financially. However I note you refer to a 2 Mix Pay Once Watch Forever package with 12 months of 2 Mix viewing. To my knowledge Sky only sold POWF first as a 6 Month 2 Mix product and then as a 4 Month 4 Mix product and charged £75 for both products or £73.40 after the VAT reduction.

Your mistake here has clearly been to ignore earlier advice given in this thread by only dealing with normal Sky customer services and not emailing jeremy.darroch@bskyb.com with cc to andrew.griffith@bskyb.com and CRSupport@bskyb.com to pursue the matter. The escalated complaints customer services team run on behalf of Mr Darroch (the Chief Executive) are fully aware of this issue and after months of procrastination have finally started sending out replacement viewing cards free of charge to Pay Once Watch Forever customers who raise this complaint with them by email.

So email the email addresses listed above and you should receive your replacement free of charge viewing card within a matter of days.

The terms and conditions for Sky Pay Once Watch Forever quite clearly referred to the viewing card being replaced free of charge if necessary within the first five years from the original Sky box and dish installation date. Why does Sky always have to be bludgeoned in to submission to honour contractual commitments so clearly given to customers when the product was sold.:mad::mad::mad:

Hi NonGeographicalMan, thanks for your reply, i have now sent an email to Mr Darroch and the other email address andhopefully will get a reply and some good news soon!;)

I've got this same issue. I've had a volley of emails back and forth with Customer Support who insist that I need to pay £20. This is despite me highlighting their own website which says otherwise. I got a full freesatfromsky system installed in 2007 directly from Sky, and got the 2 mix trial. Yet now, they claim I'm not a registered freesat customer and hence must pay £20 to become one. Have sent an email as suggested in this thread - will wait and see what happens... Tried on the phone too but 30 mins later and through being transferred to 5 different departments there was no one who could help....!

I have a TV with built in Freesat. Would someone please advise what extra channels I would get with a SKY Freesat card. From SKY website it looks like SKY3, Channel4 HD and Fiver. Is that all I get for £ 20.00? If so I won't bother.

    Regards

Looks like there may be some radio stations, LBC for example, as well on SKY not on FREESAT.

Anyone know if Freesat are going to sort this out? I can get Dave on Freeview, but not on SKY, same with Virgin. All seems a bit of a mix / lucky dip

PQR; with respect to you as a newbie, you need to start a new thread on this forum and pose your question.

This thread being specifically for those unlucky people who have had, and continue to have, problems directly related to a SKY product sold as "Pay once, watch forever".

If you read the thread at start and end, that will become obvious.

Just remembered about this - despite a promise, no viewing card has arrived. Anyone else still waiting? I had emailed customer services but have received no response. May need to send a further message to the jeremy.darroch address.

What awful customer service, do they think people will want to subscribe to sky after being treated like this?

Yes do email Mr Darroch as the FREE replacement cards are now finally being sent out to those of aware of our rights and who insist that Sky honours its original Terms and Conditions for the Pay Once Watch Forever product.

    Seconded.

I think that will probably be a Freesat from the BBC and ITV television. In which case it won't have a Sky viewing card slot and you won't be able to get Fiver, FiveUSA or Sky Three.

Has anyone had any joy in getting a replacement card?

I've just sent an email off to ask again - to Jeremy et al. The web link to the POWF Terms and Conditions is no longer live, but luckily I had taken a screen grab of it. Happy to email to anyone who may need it - send me a PM.

Yes. As detailed on pages 12 ,13 and 14 of this thread. My mother is one of them.

You just need to email jeremy.darroch@bskyb.com and cc to andrew.griffith@bskyb.com and CRSuport@bskyb.com I would also refer specifically to this thread as if the customer service person your email gets passed on to knows you are aware of the previous discussions here then they will know they cannot hope to bamboozle you in to believing you have to pay Sky £20 and so will have to send you a free replacement viewing card.:T

The name of the product is "Pay Once Watch Forever". What part exactly of Pay Once and Watch Forever do the Sky customer service people seem to find it so difficult to comprehend?:mad:
