I am sure that there will have been a great deal more people who have made "money" out of this tragedy. Why concentrate on just one thing?

    What about:-

All the various staff who have worked overtime and will be claiming overtime pay?

The media who will have sold more newspapers and advertising space

All the firms involved who will have supplied things to the emergency services. I saw breakdown trucks removing vehicles - I presume they were paid! I presume the scaffolders were paid for putting up screening etc etc.

That's life I'm afraid. Some people profit, intentionally or unintentionally. Unless everything was government controlled (heaven forbid) that is how the free market economy works.

    UPDATE:

For those that are interested, the Government has finally agreed from now on to use 0800 numbers (free for majority of people) and a geographical number for any future casualty numbers that may be needed (but hopefully not).
