Hi all
My shower tray is horrid and I really do need some advise please.
There is a build up of mould, which I have even Cillit Banged to no avail so having read some threads on here think it's going to be a bleach and toothbrush job.
However I also have a pinky coloured deposit at various points on the shower tray which someone has recently told me is fat deposits
It is disgusting and is making me feel quite bilious now - normal cleaners seem to have no effects so has anyone got any ideas please
Also I think at sometime a cleaner appears to have taken some of the surface off of part of the tray - it's very rough and hard to clean.
Bet you all have a really revolting picture of my shower (and me!) now :rotfl:

Hi Amanda,
The pink deposit sounds like limescale to me. If it is then, pour on some neat vinegar, rub with a cloth, rinse and then clean as you normally do.
I had tried all sorts to get rid of it and couldn't believe how easily the vingegar shifted it.

Yuck, I didn't know it was fat deposits!
Don't worry though, bleach will sort it and will get rid of the mould too. You might have some trouble with any that's on the sealant though, I've never been able to shift that. I tend to replace that if it's really grotty. Squirt a load round (or dilute it a bit and put in an old spray bottle) and leave it for about an hour, then come back and rinse.

So how did I get fat deposits on my wooden bathroom window? :rotfl: I think its just another mould!0
-
If its fat deposits I must remember to stay in there longer - perhaps I could deposit more and be thin again
I think its just mould - we use Viakal and bleach in our shower (at different times)0 -
Think this article could be of use:
