I don't know what company info they will want, but they will probably want ID and proof of address for all signatories. So as well as your passport / driving licence they will want a recent utility bill or similar.

That's to make sure these signatories are real people and that it's not a front for money-laundering.

Hi all, I'm going to be looking for a business bank account in the next few days. Does anyone know of any good deals going around or has any banks to recommend?

Despite Lloyds up to 48 hour delay in dealing with transactions I have to say I'm quite happy with them. It may be worthwhile checking them out. Failing that Abbey National or A&L (which I hate...very poor customer service).

thought i would just give you a sample of what the high street banks are like to their business customers... i have adverse credit following a divorce, all debts were paid in full over a number of years... i opened up my own business and lloyds tsb gave me a business bank account, throught out 5 years of business my yearly ammount of money that went into llyds tsb was aroung 300k, i never once went in to an over draft situation...... i asked for business help 6 months ago met my business manager who agreed a 10k over draft over a period of 2 months to help my business to move forward...... he allowed me to draw against this over draft on the friday then on the monday i received a call from the bank to say this was an error and i had been declined an over draft facility due to my credit history !!!!! , tis has now caused me finacial difficulty ( not a major one) just difficulty where i have to put off paying creditors for a month as my account is over drawn.......through no fault of my own... if the business manager had not agreed the over draft i would not have been over drawnso in a nut shell bank will never give you a normal business bank if you have ever had bad credit, even if this was years ago and all debt cleared.
