CatwOman recently mentioned Shop and Scan so I just googled it as I didn't know what it is. It looks like quite a lot fo work and on the website they say they reward you with points but they don't say how many? Can anyone tell me if this is worth doing? How much can you earn a week if they want weekly downloads?
Shop and Scan - You get a wee handheld barcode reader which you scan all your shopping each week with, I don't find it a hassle, as I do each item as I take it out the bag and put it away. You get rewarded with £1 each week, which isn't much, but you get a £10 bonus when you join and get ocassional surveys worth £1-£5 and at Christmas for 3 weeks you got triple points. So far I've had £30 vouchers for Debenhams and £10 for WHSmith at Christmas, and have around £16 pounds in my account again. It's not the easiest thing to sign up to however, you have to go to another site (I can't remember which) and leave your details once they have a vacancy in your area they get in touch and send out the equipment. You can exchange your points for a huge range of vouchers for shops. I have recently signed up to another similar scheme!! Don't know all the details yet though, will keep you informed!0 -
I'd better update my totals too! Still not having a great time as I'm totally snowed under with everything just now, but I did get another Pinecone survey today which I was chuffed about! Oh another thing I'm going to count (for this month only), they have now scrapped the bridge tolls on the Tay road bridge (80p a time - only pay one way), I travel across it 5 times a week, saving myself £4 a week
Will add this on at the end of each week
Total for today
pinecone - £4
Ciao - 2p!!!!
Total £4.02
Grand total - £42.360 -
Just me again!! Just had a thought, and not sure whether I should include this in my total or not - I have a healthcare cashback policy which pays back 50% of treatments that I pay for, well I just had a crown fitted:o Which cost an enormous £106.80!!! I've just got my cheque for £53.40
Technically it's money that I wouldn't have had, what do others think, should I count it??

I'd like to know about that policy!
Maybe to be really honest you should deduct the cost of the policy premiums and then count the rest as 'free' and 'extra' money, as you wouldn't have got it without the premiums..........0 -
New total thanks to bngo is £215.18. :j0

I spent most of last night reading all the wonderful suggestions in this thread and others on how to bring the extra pennies in and want to give a HUGE thank you to all those who give their time to post tips and ideas which help the rest of us. :T“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

Are people posting their total sales from ebay or their total profit.I want to calculate my profit only and have seen somewhere a link to a site that works it all out for you with ebay and paypal fees decucted.Does anyone know where that is?Needle in a haystack?"Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0

In Ebay itself you go to 'My Account' and navigate thru to the right month. Every item you have sold or not sold but have listed is there and the costs broken down into listing fee. gallery fee, final value sale fee, so you can see exactly what you've been charged. Ebay also has links 'in advance' of selling - somewhere you can click on 'Ebay fees' and it gives you an outline of what they are. Another separate site linked to Google is called Goofbay and you should be able to get the fees from there also. I hope this helps.0
