Not going to get chance to make £10 today but have used this post to make a free 25p donation to charity:

Perhaps other people could spare a few seconds to add this one on to your daily clicks today? Be interesting to see how much MSE members alone could raise! :T

    I've clicked and duly bumped!

I've been procrastinating for days about £1 bingo, but today I'm really going to get stuck in. Honest...just as soon as I've done everything else that I can possiby think of first that's more interesting...

Leothecat, just saw that you're a coupon expert! I've saved a bit in the past by scanning my own shopping in Asda and shoving loads of coupons in the box, but all our local Asdas have now taped the coupon boxes up and you've got to ask someone to verify them! Tesco here say they can take one coupon if you're not actually buying the items but it seems to depend on the checkout girl on the day, and to be honest I'm too embarassed to try and push it as I've had them go through the whole receipt before, and then tell me (in front of the rest of the queue!) that I couldn't have my £1 off as I definitely didn't buy the hair dye!

I'm being lazy and should search myself, I know, but is there a specific guide that you know of that anyone's written as to how to make the most of coupons? I think I'm missing something fundememtal with the whole process!

Leo, you're doing well on the bingo! I'm there too.... :o and they're starting to rumble me, I could only just join this last one - rejected me at first, and I typed in the same details just on the offchance, and it accepted me. Ah well...

As a newbie here, can I just check something? If I don't spend on something that I would have before I came to mse, can I include it in the challenge?

This is a good thought - today I didn't spend on that Ferrari I've always wanted, because of MSE, therefore I've 'saved' thousands of pounds! Soon I'll be a millionaire by not buying expensive things!

Here's a good excuse for you to not do bingo today - its much busier on Sundays so there's less chance of winning! - try tomorrow!

That's a good enough excuse for me! Cheers!
  • Has anyone actually won anything on the £1 sites? I did about 7 or 8 but gave up on them cos it took longer to sign up than it did to play through your quid!

For Lightspeed changing points in to £:

    Go to "Lightspeed Points Account"
Look at the Prize catalogue (enter shop)
And click on the big PayPal logo
You can then convert your points into £1 PayPal or more

It then takes a few days before you receive an email to say the funds are in your PayPal account

    :D Hope that helps

thanks just realised I had a pound sat in there! better than nowt!

I was thinking like that, but then discovered roboform.com as a few people had mentioned it - it fills all the details in for you automatically, so you just need to think of a username and enter your DOB. I'm planning on just keeping it for the duration of the bingo then getting rid! I think there have been quite a few wins on £1 sites - Hypno got one or two so it's worth doing! I'm going to leave it as Asset suggested until a weekday morning when it's much quieter though and try and find the 5p games!
  • I'm back at work tomorrow so can't bingo during the day anymore. Might re-visit the £1 sites next month if I get desperate! lol
