Hi all thanks for your replies...
I took it in to TRU last night as I'd really had enough of again having to ask a stranger to help me get the car seat off... Anyway the woman firstly didn't look like she was going to do anything about it but then she said she could either give me a credit note, give me the last (display) model but swap the wheels for mine, or I could choose another buggy!!!!
So I went had a look at a few others and fell in love with another one so got that instead, it doesn't feel as sturdy but the car seat has a totally different way to lift off and it folds down with one hand!!!!
Here is the link for the old one- http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Product.aspx/BruHome/BruTravel/BruTravelBritax/715360
Absolutely gorgeous, felt sad leaving it, but it was every parents worst nightmare!!!
Ooh and the head hugger on the new one moves and so do the straps for that matter and also the raincover is a softer plastic so can be folded up quite small :j
Thanks all :beer:0 -

Forgot to add that although it makes no difference now as you have got it sorted , the headrest/hugger on that car seat is fully adjustable using the adjuster handle at the back of the seat , that and the straps and move at the same time as it all adjusts together .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .

Thank you's
Natalie we found out last night that it was fully adjusted but it is still a pain in the bum cos my baby can't wear a hooded coat without being far too squashed and uncomfortable looking as well as it making her sit tooooo far forward, I don't know how else to explain it!!!
Ended up getting this one- http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Product.aspx/BruOrFindUsing/BruAZOfBrands/BruTravelGraco/709824
Not as nice in my opinion but it comes with everything I need, and it seems so user friendly...
Would LOVE a mammas and pappas or something designer but the prices are way to expensive!!!0 -
I had that car seat for my DD2 , it was great as it is so big , she was a heffalump as a baby , massive , 20lbs @ 14 weeks old and this seat was great as it lasted her up to 8.5 months old before I finally had to give in and put her forward facing. Although i don't own a Graco I do like the look of them as big sturdy buggies and they have big baskets underneath as well , bonus for all that shopping !Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .

i remember when i had problems with my playstation 2 machine, i went back to the store i bought it from, the manager said i have to talk to Sony. A friend later told me that i bought the item from the store and its under warranty only just... and that they were fobbing me off with this statement, so it doesn't matter about the manufacturer, he also said to gradually raise your voice to draw attention so that other people take notice; he has tried it a few times and its always worked. By doing this it looks like you are taking control and that you are authoritative, if you going in there umming and areing with no confidence it will not help you.
Anyway, i went back to the store and started to rasie my voice and i said i bought the item from them quoting that they have my money and that i expect better standards than this and that Citizens Advice had told me that i have to bring it back here and that i want a replacement, he tried to fob me off again, obviously they dont want to lose customers so they swapped it for a new ps2 pretty sharpish.
So you should go back to the shop start raising your voice just enough so that maybe others can hear to EMBARRASSES them into doing what you want them to do.
If the item is faulty, ITS FAULTY and should always be taken back to the store under warranty. If in doubt go to Citizens Advice and find out your rights then take it from there. My Signature is MY OWN!!0
