    Why not?

    If you follow the link I gave above, you'd see it's almost trivial - and completely reversible if it doesn't work as expected.

    Yes I can actually see both the first image that you posted and the second replacement one.

    Hi, I note from your first image that your "view" in word is set to 75% - this is likely to explain why font 12 looks more like 8.

    Try clicking on View (along the top after File, Edit) and then go down to Zoom... Then choose 100%.


    It is likely that your Normal.dot corrupted and Word automatically created a new one for you (it does this but your settings go back to the default ones when this happens). To correct this % view permanently for every new document you will need to find where the actual Normal.dot is and open it. Then change the view to 100% (as I just explained), save it and close Word completely.

    Hope that helps a little ;)

    That seems to have sorted it, although I do not remember changing the zoom!!
