WORD problem

I seem to be having a problem with Word.
For no apparent reason it stopped doing anything, I now seem to have it working, but the font size is not right, the first line is showing as font size 12, but is more like 8, the second line is showing as 16, but that size was normally size 12.
Also the point I have highlighted in the tool bar, I am not sure that should be there, can't remember seeing it before, and at one stage, when clicking on "file etc" on the tool bar it just created an envelope where the cursor is and would not do any commands, although that now seems OK, how do I get rid of the highlighted icon and revert my font sizes to normal? As you can see from the screen shot the font size is showing 16, that is the second row of letters, but is more like size 12.

Thanks

It's probably a corruption in your normal.dot file (the default template that Word loads on startup). It's easy to make Word create a new one, as shown in the instructions here:

??????? It certainly is a screen shot, to see it all, there is a need to drag the horizontal bar, as for some reason it is slightly bigger than the page!
Can you "quote" what you are seeing?Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
I just see a red cross, even if I go to properties and get the photobucket jsut get page not found. Sure its not private?0

Well it was there! I have just refreshed my page and now it has even gone from my computer??
I am not that techie, but I would not have posted the question if I was not sure the image was there, hence the use of the preview button
No it is not private, but I did delete it from photobucket once I had put it on the forum.!Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
:rotfl:
So how do you expect the forum to display the image then?
Because as I had it displayed, like I said in my post before yours, I saw no reason to leave it on photobucket1
Anyway it is now in my OP and has been left on photobucket.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Irrespective of what it looks like, have you tried creating a new normal.dot file yet?0

I have now manged to get rid of the icon, by removing that toolbar, but the fonts are not right.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0

Because each time the thread is displayed, the image has to be fetched from wherever you have hosted it. It doesn't really matter if you can see it, what about everybody else! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
