Yeh, I think you are right Foxy, as you already have all the equipment, but they are all swings and roundabouts... all I would say is from my point of view they have been, in a customer service way, hassle free, and completely brilliant.
Customer services when you ring them are extremely helpful, and esp with any 'techie' difficulties, and with me that goes a long way rather than being put through to someone in another country who doesn't know what they are talking about, and have a time limit to talk to you.... this on here just doesn't happen.
That's worth an extra few pennies a month for me, as it saves me in the long run !
Hope this helps xxx** Getting back in the swing of saving again.... **

I've been with PlusNet for a few years now. They do have problems like most internet providers from time to time but they get my money for their customer service responce time and the genaral overall quality of the service.
As I am away quite often I find their Pay as you Go package great as it means I pay less when I am away compared to a fixed rate package.0 -

thanks in advance:D
I have looked at a large number of ISPs and keep coming back to Plus Net so I will be signing up with them for broadband. Their PAYG package at £14.99 with 1 Gb cap looks good.
There are some cheaper ISPs around but I like what I see about Plus Net. They offer 24/7 helpline where you can talk to an operator and they charge their helpline at low-call rates of 3p minute. Their website gives a lot of information about what they offer. have a look at:

I also liked freedom2surf who are one of the first to offer 8 mb speeds for £14.99 a month.

Hi guys
After reading this thread I decided to call Plusnet whom we've been with for over a year.
DH downloads 60-80 gigs a month and at £29.99 per month with no capping limits was the best value for money. Anyway, they have reduced my monthly DD to £21.99. I pointed out that "new customers only" were getting the same service as me, but for £8 less a month  Explained we had had no problems with Plusnet and there support and service is excellent, but did seem unfair.
All done and dusted. So better off by £96 a year :money:
I love this site.

Can be even cheaper if you ring 0114 2200000 that is their geographical number. I think this is reception or something so if you ring out of office hours you get the exact same choice as ringing their 0845 so they probably divert calls out of hours hours to the same number as their 0845. I got this number from SayNoTo0870.com.Art wrote:....They offer 24/7 helpline where you can talk to an operator and they charge their helpline at low-call rates of 3p minute....0
