Plus.net are brilliant and very flexible...... I have been with them for 2 years now and no problems at all....

they let you change what GB you want download which is excellent, and if you think you are going to go over in advance then you can pay up front which is cheaper !

    Thoroughly recommended Foxy.....

I've looked at this £14.99 one today, but can't see anything about any download limits, is that right

Yes - when you set up your account you can manage it with 'Data transfer watch'. which means you can limit the maximum you want to spend per month, or adjust the amount if you think you are going over your limit....

For example this month I thought I was going to go over so changed from £14.99 to an extra 2GB for £16.99

    Hope this helps xx

Depending on your usage and the plan you are on, PlusNet do operate a priority service to email and web surfing.

BroadBand PAYG for £14.99 has a 1GB download limit and a contention ratio of 30:1.

BroadBand Plus for £14.99 has no download limit but they do operate a priority service to email & web surfing (as mentioned above). For those that use broadband for downloading then you may suffer really slow speeds. Not recommended for those that download a lot but ideal for those that mostly just surf the internet.

BroadBand Premier for £21.99. This has a low contention ratio of 30:1, with no download limit and no priority at all. For those that download then this is best option from Plus.Net.

The contention ratio is just how many other people you share your connection/route to the internet with. The lower the better. 50:1 is generally average for most ISPs.

Their free connection is only free if you stay with them for 5 years. If you cancel after a year they ask for the connection and modem fee back minus a % for each year you stay. After 5 years it's down to £0.
