    Evening all.

Pleased to hear little W had a lovely birthday :D

Well I've got some things done tonight, quite pleased with my ickle self actually :D dishwashers been on for the third time, thought I would get EVERYTHING I was less regular from the kitchen cleaned, so another thing less to do when studying. 5 loads of laundry done inc the curtains, one left to get dry then will vacuum pack them and get DP to put them in the loft. I put away 3 :o baskets of laundry and I sorted 2 baskets of undies inc millions (ok well it felt like it) of socks! I really hate sock sorting so much but it's all done now. My room looks much less of a laundrette now, got to put the duvet cover on the duvet before bed and then all done in there for today.
One day I might be more organised...........

Tomorrow I am taking DS3 to what I am calling 'the makers magic shop'. It is a place where all local factories/buisinesses off load stuff. For £15 a year membership you can cart away as much of it as you like as often as you like. Never been but it sounds fab. Hoping to get bits for the submarine project.

That sounds like a fab place, let us know how you get on.

Hi there folks, had a pretty busy but chilled day today. (Ok, I have to admit this, I sat down 2hrs ago to type this and have only just caught up on today's threads!)

    Things I've done:

Taken all recycling and recycled it ... how many plastic bottles!?!
    Placed my card order
Got a bargain on DD's shampoo in Morrisons, due to them mispricing it :)
Cleaned the bathroom, including the shower and all the tiles :)
    Folded 2 loads of washing
Did 1 more load and hung on line
One final load in w/m as I type (must remember to hang it out!)
Booked Summer holiday ... the big holiday we've been looking forward to for years :)

Tomorrow is back to work day, but in the evening, due to DH being out and the fact that I'm not going to be clerking at WW, I'm going to attempt to do a little bit of a catch up.

Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs

    Level One
Vacuum floors in these areas, even if around clutter

    Level Two
Move clutter so you can vacuum under it
Vacuum and wipe (if needed) sofas
Dust any areas below eye level

    Level Three
Dust anything above eye level (if safe to do so)
Clear anything that shouldn't be where it is, ahem that includes that cup!
Wipe the bits next to the steps on the stairs, yours might be skirting board, edging of some sort, grab a cloth and give it a wipe

Wednesday - Master Bedrooms and Landings

    Level Two
    Vacuum floors in these areas

Thrilling Thursday - Study/PC area and Bathrooms

    [STRIKE]Level One
    Clean floors in these rooms
    Level Two
    Clean baths, toilets and sinks
    Clear any clutter from desk
    Dust PC and desk
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse [/STRIKE]etc

    Level Three
    Wash your bathroom mats
    [STRIKE]Wipe down tiles in bathroom[/STRIKE]

Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more

    * [STRIKE]Clear a hotspot, if it's bad at least spend 10 minutes on it
    * Remove anything from window sills in these rooms, clean before replacing the items (which you have of course given a wipe)[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]Clean toilet bowl inside and out, the floor in front of it aswell if you need to (I wonder when boys/men will learn to aim?)
    * 15 minutes paperwork filing/flinging. Deal with anything urgent now[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]Towels & Flannels- wash any grimey ones, make ones which are ''beyond repair'' into something else (flannels, cloths etc) or get rid![/STRIKE] - Just converted 2 old towels into 27 cloth wipes and 3 nappy booster for friend's new impending bubs .... not sure she's yet realised she's gonna have 3 in nappies *eek*!!

    Other:

G .. Y ... M ... (yes I know I'm swearing, but the amount of HM bread and butter consumed today will tell on me otherwise, LOL)
Work out a plan for paying for the above mentioned Summer holiday!
Menu plan for the week, which apparently according to DH needs to include the cooking of a rabbit casserole on Saturday, as chappie had them on sale at the market, so will pick one up on Saturday :)
Ironing and putting away (the dullest bit!)

  • Hi all

This is a very hasty evening and goodnight. I'm sorry, but I've had no time to read everything, so hope I may catch up with you and flying tomorrow. I have done a few things today:
    • SS bathroom/shower room
    • DW and WM emptied, washing hung up
    • Stripped bed, vac'd and turned mattress, made bed
    • Emptied bins
    • Watered plants
    • Did some ironing
    • Dusted everywhere in Master bedroom
    • Prepared work for tomorrow's session
    • Finished preparing soup from overnight slow cooker
    • Made dinner
    • Scrubbed shower room floor
    • SS all kitchen
So not too bad, but miffed I haven't more time to catch up with you all. Hugs to each and everyone, especially anyone who's feeling unwell or down in the dumps and I'll catch you all tomorrow.

AnW's and Solway - I'm another fraud too, no flying just wanted to see what was going on!

Dusty - be interested to see how you get on at that place, we have one about 5mins away and I'd like to rumage around in there.

Lil me - well done on the kitchen!

Hooray! Have finally sorted the paperwork, flung all old stuff and sorted what can be binned and what needs shreading, filled a ringbinder full of 'stuff' but all in order and in plastic pockets and dividers. So sad but should make life easy, you never know DH might be able to find his papers now LOL

Right, better be off to bed, sure LO with have me up about 6am and need to get dogs out and sorted (both currently snuggled on sofas fast asleep so won't be too impressed) Night all!!!

PS did anyone watch that BBC2 programe about Second Life tonight??

  • Hello everybody!

New to posting on this thread but have been lurking for a couple of weeks as I would love to find my house under all this mess!

Just wanted to say to Torianut, my daughter didn't walk until she was nearly 20 months old. When I took her to buy shoes, I only had a choice of two styles because they didn't make them small enough - no wonder she couldn't walk! She is finally finally potty trained as of Sunday :j- she is now 3 years and 3 months, I have been trying since she was 18 months old and I have no idea what has finally done it.

Does anyone else on here work full time? How do you keep up with everything because I don't and I would love some tips...

 Another lurker and 'virtual' flyer here. I love to follow all the banter and news but it takes me sooo long to read it all and then when I've finished guffawing at your antics I am too tired to do any housework  Hope to graduate to 'virtuous' flyer one of these days :D .
