  • HI

I'd like to joint too please! My house is a pigsty at the moment :o . In fact, my house is ALWAYS a pigsty. The only time I was on top of it all was when I 'flyladied' a couple of years ago. I let it all slip after about 6 months and haven't been able to get motivated again since. I'm hoping this might do the trick!

Hex2 - I wish! (Next time I visit my sister in Derby< I'll let you know! LOL)They'd look lovely in my front garden. I'm not much if a gardener, but have worked quite hard at the front. There were some shrubs already in there, ceanothus, honeysuckle and hydrangea and some I don't know.

When I left DV Services, they gave me some money and bought me a Mahonia, which is doing really well by the front gate. I also bought Rosa Rugosa hedging and a few other shrubs and put in a Camellia my Mum bought me. We removed, with a stump grinder, 10 tree stumps from the front and back garden, rotavated and re-seeded the lawn and the main front is looking quite nice. I want to put some bulbs in around the feet of the shrubs, but just haven't got around to it.

We have a side bit of garden that we want to get levelled and gravelled, as it leads to the side gate, and the back garden is like a swamp with four manic dogs around. There's an apple tree in the middle of the back "lawn" with a bench around it, an almost finished patio, a crazy paved step at the back fence, where the canoe is mounted. My brother's father-in-law was working on it for me (I was paying him!) but I haven't seen him at my house since he brought me back from the hospital when my Mum died on 11th May last year! He was full of plans about taking the fence down to half it's height, building a raised bed along the fence and across the end of the patio. He's started a rockery at the opposite end of the patio, so wanted things to balance. He'd also planned crazy paving around the rotary dryer as it gets so muddy, but .........he's been like the Scarlet Pimpernel. It will be lovely when he gets it finished. He did have Phlebitis and a bad back, but has been doing stuff at my brother's, so I'm mildly miffed! Anyway, I'm not lazy, I get hayfever etc, and OH is as rubbish at gardening as he is at DIY. Oh, enough moaning. I'll get my friend and her OH to help me when they come in April, if he hasn't been back!:T

I'm in this week. In fact, compared to this weekend, the week ahead will be a holiday! I've just been rushing around all over the place, and only had about ten minutes for lunch yesterday and today.

OH has been working on finishing the boys' wardrobe, and it's been quite fiddly, as he needed to build an extra piece on one side as the alcove isn't deep enough. It should be ready to fix the runners and hang the doors next weekend, then he can start on ours!

I have decided to get rid of the three or four things on my list that have been transferred week after week - I'm fed up of seeing them there. I bet they won't take long to do, but I just don't feel motivated to do them little things, like painting the radiator in the bedroom, a small section of wall in the hallway, and some letters to write. Actually, even seeing them written here is giving me a sinking feeling...

Vanilla - hugs to your DD! Keep her away from your piggy bank!

toria - sorry to hear about your poorly DS, hope you get it sorted out.

Ooooh.. that reminds me.. I have 3 bags of lovely bulbs I must get out ASAP.. a job for tomorrow I think!!

I have a few bits need repotting as well.. I hate repotting.. I have some veg seeds I wanted to sow too.. must dig those out.. I think they are on the pc desk.. *sigh* they may be forever lost! lol

Girls de-flea'd.. hubby and I did 1 each then we both set about DD3 who was HOPPING!!! Anyway.. they are all clean and pink again now... Tiddles usually looks a bit 'grey' lol.. They are all as curly and frizzy as I am which doesn't make to easy de-fleaing!!

Best make the bread bombs for tomorrow actually.. and send huby to shop for milk and crisps/snacks for lunches. I have a bunch of shopping coming tomorrow but not until after 9pm so that'll be a bit late! .. I would be really lazy and give them £1.10 each for a hot dinner.. but their pack ups only cost me about 50p each!!

Uniforms are about done.. I kept the bits out from putting the laundry away earlier.

Mudbath you asked about bellringing on the other thread, first chance to reply so apologies.

It's not that physical at all really and is great fun. I have been ringing since I was about 12 (am now 38 :p ) We have ringers of all ages from 8 to 75 years old. A (our daughter is 8) and her claim to fame in the ringing world is that she has rung the bells in Miami USA on only her third time :D Most towers will make you very welcome and even better the 'theory' of the art is quite often discussed in the pub after practice ;)

Mudbath I've been ironing so you weren't along. Done all the stuff which needs doing on the hottest setting so now just 20 mins on the cool setting and I'm done. monty can join me.

AnW'sMum well done you on that tax return - shame the figure is a payment rather than a rebate - I'll join you in a glass

    Hi ladies,

I'm back in again this week. Still working full time at the mo, and dh is away on a course this week and half of next week so it's just me and the littlies this week. House is a bit upside down due to re-decorating but will aim to do what I can.A bit peed off as decorator came round to collect house key earlier, and then informed me that he can't do it till wed now(was supposed to be coming tommorow) he better blooming do it wed or I'll be mad!

Off to load the dishwasher and put another load of washing on in a bit. Then need to iron some clothes for tommorow. Am planning on trying to be organised and put a chilli in the slow cooker tommorow as well. We'll see if I remeber when I get up lol!:o Not sure what to do for kids packed lunch tommorow as I forgot to go buy bread today! Hopefully shop next door might have some in the morning!
