I'm in this week if thats ok and thanks Lil_me for the thread.

Haven't done to bad, trying to keep to the routine so house is in pretty good order for a change:rotfl:

DD decided last tuesday that it would be a great idea to try and swallow a 20p and guess what.....it got stuck, so 2 hospitals later and a trip to theater as well as a good telling off. She has defo put at least 10 years on me.

Then this tuesday we're back at the hospital for her to get these vents put in and anodes out so it will be a long day and i'll worry myself stupid while she is in theater again. She isn't happy because she has to stay of school for a week so i will be at home all week so plenty of flying to be done.

Hope everyone is well as i haven't even attempted to read the other thread, i'd be here all night:rotfl:

Right gonna do dishes and take more pics for ebay and find uniforms.

Oooh.. I just noticed my child benefit went in last Friday rather than tomorrow!! not that it matters.. half of it is going on food shopping and the other half is being paid off this months lingering bills.. I have paid off all the stuff I got in the next sale though which I am VERY pleased about! Now I can pay off the studio cards.. I don't owe them a lot it just annoys me you can't make online payments to them!

I have also paid an extra £50 off the mortgage this month.. so I have made a £70 overpayment.. I am only allowed to overpay by £120 a month anyway.. but this is the biggest payment I have managed.. it IS going to make a difference as to the final payment date for the house.. I am aiming to have it just about paid off by 2020.. that would be half the term.. it'll get easier as the children are bigger I hope!! As they become more financially independant!

I've fished out another bag full of stuff I've not ebayed before to list.. so I'm aiming to get those on turbolister this week and list when there is another cheap day. I might have hubby help me go through it all tonight actually.. see if I can't get it down a box full.. I have also got a bid on something I have listed about 4 times before with no luck.. AND the only difference was I raised the postage and lowered the start price.. but it adds up to the same!!

Anybody who loves cats is welcome on our thread - it's kids we seem to have a problem with.

I'm having problems with the cats too.. one is determined to kill off every bit of wildlife on the planet single-pawedly .. and theother I think has decided he NEEDS 2 homes.. judging by the size of his stomach anyway.. he looks like he has eaten a dinghy!!

Vanilla.. sorry but I did chuckle.. aren't children just the best?! lol.. hubby swallowed a hair pin the day they were meant to be going on holiday when he was little.. so not only did he get to spend a few days being poked and prodded and xrayed and yelled at he missed his holiday as well.. which I don't think his mother or brother or gran ever quite forgave him for (his sister was too young to be aware really) I hope her second op all goes well and straight forward.. and worry not.. they are revoltingly quick to bounce back from any kind of op these short people!!

Count me in to give it a go, although I'm back at work tomorrow, so it depends on how I feel after a day training!

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room/Area
    Level One
    Clean floors in these areas
    Level Two
    Wipe down surfaces
Wipe kitchen cupboard fronts and kickboards
Wipe down fronts of major appliances (cooker, fridge, freezer etc) and inside the microwave
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Clean washer drawer, filters on the dryer, dishwasher and cooker hood filters
Clean the oven if you missed it last week or it needs it

Extra tasks if you want to do more
    • [strike]Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms[/strike]
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps, a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • [strike]Empty one shelf (or the top of a cupboard) clean it, clean what's on it and put it all back[/strike]
    • [strike]Clean out and organize one cupboard, more if you like[/strike]
    • Wipe & replace small appliances like kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)
I have a bit of a head start as I've cleaned out all my kitchen cupboards, and cleaned the windows while I've been off sick.

Hex2 - please can I have some cerise azaleas. :j

Hope everyone gets off to a good start this week, with poorlies getting better, hubbies being home (Michelle) and here's to nice, clean, tidy homes. Thank you all for the motivation. I'm really enjoying the friendship and support.

Just off to take DS's friend back to Cardiff. They've had a nice day, been to meet his GF, drive up to Gotre Wharf, back for roast dinner and watched a DVD.

Yep- I'm in too! Also hoping to get some biggish jobs done this week -- sorting the spare room i.e. my "office" and soon to be organisational and financial hub of our home...

Vanilla - hugs hun - it brings it all back as to when DS2 decided to put a pencil rubber top in his ear and got it stuck. Most hilarious thing was on day 2 at ENT they didn't have the right equipment so made something out of a piece of wire in true Blue Peter style, it worked though.

Right pencil cases checked (DS1 has mock KS3 exams this week and as I am invigilating them it won't look good if he turns up without a pen like lots of the oiks will).

Onto the ironing now. Just made a pan of popcorn and the kids are throwing it across the room aiming at each others open mouths - they have been warned not to leave any on the floor.

    Hiya
Thanks for the list lil_me, I'm definitely in this week. I'll post a list later. We had a lovely day and managed to spend a couple of hours in the garden which was nice. Zipped the children up in the trampoline so they were out but not trapping around the mushy grass.

Busy week this week as DHs 40th later in the week. Just managed to get a car stereo for him online with 2/3 off (I share the car so i'll benefit too!). Quite a list to do tonight to make sure I don't struggle all week so i'll make a start now. Hope you all had a great weekend xx

Pink fairy - it is not that I am anti cerise azaleas, but they are in front of red ones, and orange ones, and several rhododendrons and the combined effect just shrieks at you. I have watched this part of the garden for a year since we moved in and now I can start taking things out... If you fancy a drive to the east midlands I can throw in lots of primroses, and all the daffodils you can carry. And several hydrangeas and roses and mexican orange blossom and.....

oooh, Pigpen, do you think I could e-bay them.......?

Vanilla - when I was little I stuck a tiddley wink up my nose to see if it would fit, and had to have it removed at the hospital. On the positive side it still gives my family a lot of pleasure to bring it up regularly 30 years on.

Right, I have to do the ironing (so that DH has a shirt for work tomorrow - he does pay the mortgage after all) and write a report for a client (that will fund a nice magnolia, and a daphne, and a viburnum to replace the azaleas)......

    more tea anyone?

All these story's of things getting stuck is sooo funny. All the nurses called her money box and miss money penny as this is the second.....yes second time she has tried to swallow a coin, first was a penny. The teacher was amazed that she would return to school after one day and decided she had been so brave and gave her 10p for sweets.....10p to a child who eats money as a hobby:confused: :rotfl:

Right have listed 2 things on ebay but total messed up the first as i really wanted to put a boarder round it and only figured out how to do it on the second. Question...can i cancel the listing and start again and if i can how do i cancel it?
