Serena - I need plants too, but it is far too cold to go outside here.

Well, after 15 months of trying to buy a house, and this being the third one we've tried to buy, I'm suddenly exchanging and will be completing in a week and a half.

    And I'm not ready

I was ready last May when I was about to exchange on the first house, but now I'm not.

At least I decluttered like a woman possessed last year, so what's left is what we want to take.

Think I'd better bow out of the Flylady thread for a couple of weeks, so I can ... um... stress a lot, and um... pack boxes and stuff.

See you in a couple of weeks from Hampshire :j

I have been sat at the computer far too long looking at holidays - not gonna happen this year me thinks but nice to dream. So gonna make a cuppa, close all the windows as has now gone blooming cold and crack on with some jobs so going for a HHC 2-2.30 - anyone else up for it?

I have phoned and made an appointment to get my eyebrows done. they are not bushy or anything but thought if they shaped them I could try and follow that myself. Hope they dont do the thin look - like they have been drawn on with a pencil. Starting to worry now.

Also have a question for you lot. DH has got a work charity ball to go to next month (black tie etc), now I have ordered a couple of dresses and to be honest I think they look cheap. Should I wear the dress that I did to his Xmas do (which I loved and looked classy - well as it could on me) but all his work collegues have seen it - then spend the money i would have spend on a new dress on boots;) or wear one of the new dresses just cos no-one has seen it before even if I think it looks like cheap tat. Bear in mind others will have paid £100 for their tickets plus clients will be seated with us at the works table.

Congrats rumbly! Now you know you HAVE to post pics of a nice new house so we can all be jealous!

Shell, wear the dress you wore at christmas, one, you love it, and two you will feel more comfy. the money you would have spent on a new dress, spend on new accessories. Shoes, bag, jewelery, get your hair done etc. it will look different with different accessories.

Get them to pluck your eyebrows (I'm scared of wax) then they shouldn't go too thin.
