okay back from school run I have an hour to get homework done, tea made & eaten for kids, my neice to be delivered I am babysitting again while they go to the football again (sorry G&B the other team from yours tonight) not that I share their interest but never mind I will get a few hours out of the house to catch up on emails etc.

re wierdos and aquarians snap - I'm aquarian and generally if there is a weirdo around they will hunt me out hadn't thought about it being linked to star sign.

G&B how do you make your toffee popcorn

Dusty did you use the thread on here for getting started on mystery shopping, I have been thinking about it for a while but not had the time to read through the thread properly might do it tonight if its worth while.

    OK. I need some help.

My DS has been invited around a friend from nursery house. I have spoken to the girls mum and we have organised it for Tomorrow afternoon. We are both new mum in the fact that neither of us have had school playmates round.
Now the question I have is that am I expected to stay? I don't want to leave DS if the mother expects me to stay but don't want her thinking I am watching every move she makes.

I am not sure how comfortable I feel about leaving DS with someone else as I don't really know her. I don't even know her name. Hope I don't sound like a neurotic mother although I do sometimes wonder myself.

GnB - thanks for the popcorn recipe. Just made the sauce and poured it over what was left and it is seriously nice. Will let mum have the recipe too as she is over in Spain and cannot get butterkist. Kids approve too.

Mumofjusttwo - I know when I first invited DD1s friend from nursery (they were 3) I asked if she wanted to come for lunch and said to the mum you are more than welcome to stay. If your little one does not know the lady he may not want to stay so your being there the first time may put him at ease. If you really dont mind I would just say "do you mind if I stay for a while as I am not sure how he will settle".

Thank shell2001 TBh I have no doubts that my son will love it. He ran up to the lady an said "XXXX's mum , can XXXX come to my house." My DS is a VERY forward child but it in a nice way. I hope.

It was difficult as DS and XXXX had discussed it amongst themselves that they were coming round  and I didn't want them to feel they had to.

rumblytum - Congrats on exchange! We just bought our first house after renting for 4 years and I absolutely LOVE it. I want to be there all of the time and it's great cause it's ours! Hope the packing, moving, etc goes well!

shell - I get my eyebrows waxed every 4-6 weeks and it's never done too thin. I don't personally think it hurts and they put a special cream on them afterwards to stop any redness.

Right, I'm off to print my flying list for tonight. I've got to deliver a bday present to a nephew and find out what to cook for dinner. I fancy omelette and a few homemade chips. Maybe a salad instead of chips...? Happy flying everyone!

mumofjusttwo - I know I'm not a mum yet so not too sure how great my advice will be but, maybe go there and see how you feel when you get to their house and make a decision then. If you feel even the slightest bit uncomfortable, just stay there. Maybe it will be a good chance for you to get to know a little bit about each other so that the next time you'll feel more comfortable?

I just sat and applied to loads of (well 2) mystery shopping companies.

Dinner was early today, pasta bake and baby veg. I loves baby parsnips! Surprisingly enough.... :rotfl:

Which two did you go for? I am new to this too and am only signed up with 2 and this is only me second job. JJeff the threads on here and PTS are both helpful to get you started and learn from others experiences. I need to sort the tax bit out next month.
