... DH didnt even mention how clean and tidy the place was when he came in, are all men like this?

YES!!!! Mine comes in and I *cough* and he comments how nice it is now.. or I have a tantrum!!

Michelle.. Maybe the nursery ought to have intervened a little quicker when he threw the first toy.. throwing is a really important milestone tell your friend.. it takes a lot of coordination to throw forwards!! ;) He isn't a bully he is learning and practising a new skill!!

Mudbath.. I'd probably start reminding him to go sometimes... it is quite probable this one 'wetting' incident will discourage more.. he will probably be quite worried about others finding out.. judging by how reluctant he was to tell you what had happened. He won't want his friends to find out that's for sure.. He hasn't mentioned it burning when he wee's has he.. Mine have done this a few times and sometimes it was a water infection and more times it was an infection in the penis.. might be worth a 'sensitive' questioning.. just to eliminate other possibilities.. I'd just ask if it was sore down there.. and see what he says..

Why would I know. they probably wanted to hatch it knowing how freaky my children are.. or maybe they actually wanted to invoke the wrath of the mutant mother!!

Thanks Pigpen - I did ask him if he was sore as that's the first thing I thought of. I think i'll have a chat tomorrow when he's not so tired. Hopefully, like you say, it will make him more careful as he was really worried i'd put him in nappies for school. Thanks for your reassurance as I wasn't sure i'd dealt with it ok. Do I talk to the mum who's house he was at or do I just keep quiet incase she never noticed? My DS has asked me to say nothing unless she mentions it. Kids bless them!

I wouldn't mention it to her.. unless he is going there regularly.. is it possible he was scared to ask to go to their loo? Has he been there before? I used to be terrified of going upstairs to the loo.. just seemed a bit vulnerable having my pants down in a strange place.
