It's awesome isn't it! It is written on the wall of the National Museum in Edinburgh. I *had* to photograph it and print it. Everyone comments on it when they see it....even my ex wants a copy of it :p:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -

The silly thing is I can print them on the cheapest white printer paper and they look good, but yet on satin photo paper they smug and the ink comes off them.:beer:0

Aww that's not boring stuff. It's quite beautiful actually.
And thanks for the compliment, which I do not entirely deserve though.
It is just ordinary stuff though not artistic.
I think you have to admit that you are a very skilled person as you artistic, you speak many languages, for example.:beer:0 -

The ink from inkjet printers will smudge. You have to leave the printed photo to dry for a bit afterwards. I've always used gloss photo paper.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -

Well, you are obviously doing something very wrong. Using the wrong paper (or the wrong side of the paper)?Or the wrong ink?
I honestly can't understand why they are smudging as the ones I printed were dry in minutes and survived a 15 hour coach journey in a suitcase!
edit...and my brother was using compatible ink in his HP printer and this didn't cause any problems.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -

This paper I have is meant to be gloss on one side and matt on the other so I should be able to print on either side. Maybe the paper is the wrong sort I don't know. I am just using normal HP colour and black ink.:beer:0 -
It's probably the printer that's the problem, a cheap HP inkjet isn't going to give you the perfect photos you want no matter what you do with it, that's why I'm sticking with plain old film cameras till they stop making the film.
How about you pop a couple of the photos you're having problems with online so we can all have a look at them.Winnings
