Disappointed by digital photos.

Does anyone else feel disappointed by digital photos? You buy a camera with a good MPX, photo paper, set your ink to best and then when you print them out they come out a load of tosh.

I have never sent any of my pictures to a proper photo place to see what they print them like.

Has anyone else ever found this disappointment with digital photography?

Phil, there is this nebulous memory wending its way through my synapses... Didn't you start a thread aeons ago, asking PRECISELY this question? Or was it "Should I use the services of a photographer or print my own photos"?

Don't print them out at home, take them down to Boots and get them done. Thats what I do.
