X series Silver unblocks a lot more ports than MAXSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0

Does X Series allow a greater level of access to web sites and the internet as Internet Max? If so it seems to be a no-brainer which to go for if they both cost the same.
I don't want to buy a phone from 3. I want one of their free ones as I have my own HTC Hermes, but as I understand it, I can't order X Series unless I have compatible phone which costs.
Is it possible for me to Order a M&M package say the 300 at £15 / month and then once I have the phone and SIM, put the SIM in my HTC and then order X Series? I know this sounds awkward, but as far as I can see, this is the only way to get X series with out buying one of their phones. I guess I will loose some X Series features, but I can live with that. I really only want internet access on the HTC, but if there are a few usable extras, may as well go for X Series.
Sorry to waffle, but I want to get this right before committing to an 18 month contract.
Cheers

Internet Max basically blocks everything except a few well known ones (possibly even only 80). Not sure if anything's blocked on X-Series Silver (nothing appears to be on Mobile Broadband).0
