Of course its your right to have the money back as long as you have proof they've contiuously taken the money from your account0
-
i can prove the money being taken from the account as we have the bank statements but how can i prove to aol that we havent been using them0

When you cancelled the AOL broadband three years ago, did they remove the service? How did you get another ISP to connect if AOL were still providing service? Three years is a long time to not notice the £15.99 payment each month! If they have provided service until recently, I don't see how you can expect to be refunded. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

i cancelled the service because i wanted to go with another isp they did remove the service but have still took the money we have been fighting with them continuasly since for them to stop taking the money its been a ongoing process with them only yesturday again we phoned affter the money was again taking they said that they would stop the direct debit0

Well as ADSL can only be supplied by one provider on your line, your current ISP should be able to provide proof that they have been supplying you since you cancelled AOL. e.g. the switch date. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Why didn't you cancel the direct debit the first time you noticed they'd charged you money after you left them? They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0

lloyds wouldent cancel it because it had been set up using a card and we had to cancel thrugh aol bare in mind we phoned aol to cancel but they still took the money0
-
I hope that you are not using a continuous credit card mandate with your new ISP then! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Ow, you used a card. Not sensible, and now you've got first hand experience of why.
