Whatever the reply to your letter, it still won't satisfy the blood drinkers who seem to get attracted to an original post such as yours!
May they rest in peace without ever having made a mistake in their lives! :T
Rest assured, when I finally make a mistake in my life, I won't come on here and whinge about it............I'll take it on the chin.
I don't subscribe to the Claims Direct mentality of the UK population ("something bad's happened, it MUST be everyone else's fault except mine").You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -

Well, I'm glad the OP posted - it was a worthwhile reminder to us all. I doubt that some of the other posters would admit making any mistakes so as to keep their self-awarded position looking down on us all. I was wondering if the ones who slip up have more going on in their lives...For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... This is a lesson for me too.
I pay all my CC's by SO - mainly cos I change the amount I pay off each month depending on whether I can afford any extra or not.
I presume best course of action is to set up DD for minimum and then top up with a SO??
Better safe than helping to pay for some fat-cat's third villa. Do the DD thing to minimise your risk and make top-up payments if you're able to."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
Update
Result !!! Got ALL the charges back from MBNA including interest. Thanks to moneysupermarket.com really.
I posted a similar discussion on their forums and was contacted by tim newhouse of moneysupermarket about a possible case study in a national newspaper article they were doing.
Anyway, Tim spoke to MBNA and, with my agreement, passed on my details. The Senior Press Officer at MBNA phoned me back and agreed to look into it.
Phoned me back the next day with news of a full refund !!! Big thumbs up to moneysupermarket.com !!!!
p.s. In case you're wondering, yes, I have now set up a DD. Not going to be that stupid again !!!!0 -
