I took a photo of the kids printed it out stuck it on a star cut out of card laminated it and tied some ribbon through the top point...christmas tree decorations! I also put the year in glitter on the back. Good for grandparents, aunties, uncles, even did them for teachers.

One tip I read a few years back was to co-ordinate your table decorations by laminating xmas or birthday wrapping paper into placemats/coasters/name place cards etc. Fab for kids parties as you can save them and use them next year too.

WARNING ... if you are laminating kids artwork only laminate pictures in pencil crayon or felt tipped pen - wax crayon melts and makes a mess of the machine and ruins the picture!!

I make matching games - words and pictures, picture dominoes and card games. For double sided cards print one page pictures/words and one of pattern and place back to back.

Using a word processing or desk top publishing program you can divide up an A4 sheet into equal sections by making a table and even put a thick border around to make cutting easier.

Sweetnskint - thanks for the tip re recipe cards :T - I have loads cut out from magazines or printed from the internet I keep in a file which are looking a bit dog eared now - time for a rescue mission methinks!
