Those with realistic (mid 2007) prices are selling fast. Those clinging onto late 2007 valuations still not sold. People still want to buy, but are not being silly.
In my post code I have to set a max limit of 140 000 to get it below 100 houses for sale.

So what happens in jockland if its a draw then?
There is also other factors as an agreeable contract exchange date etc to be considered.
Most people in Scotland put in varying figures.
I remember many years ago my grandfather bid 66,666.66.
I have one a couple of properties by within a couple of hundred pounds.
My solicitor has said he has seen bids which have one by 1 poundAnd in other vaguely racist news

Thats right, Scotland had 24 points having played the World Cup Champions, Runners up and Quarter finalists, while England managed 23 points playing who????

Do they have to have a race to see who can eat a deep fried lard bar the quickest?

Nah, since we're stereotyping we find you and the one who leaves the most artistic chib mark on yer kisser gets the house. Same in the N.E of Scotland, no drop but i have seen an increase in the length of time properties are on the market especially at 400G and up. At worst i would say the market here has leveled out. The rate of increase over the past 2 years has been outrageous and we need a flat market for a couple of years at least so 1st timers can get a chance to get on the ladder.0 -
<Talking about the Scottish System>It's about time something like this was introduced in the rest of the UK, it would stop an enormous amount of wasted time and money. Instead we waste even more time and money with HIPS.
It may not save that much money as you generally survey before offer so costs can mount up if you try for a few houses. What goes around - comes around0 -
Twas this one. While it was listed as requiring upgrading it seems to have been bought as a home.
I've been dead surprised at how desirable these bungalows are; in fairness, they usually come with a good sized plot for extending, but, it's still Drumchapel after all...
That one at Hardgate was a complete renovation job - roof (and all roof timbers, probably), plumbing, heating, wiring, bathroom, kitchen etc etc etc. When did you last see a house with no modern sockets at all?! You'd need to get a secondary power source in to do any work to the place! But the plot was great, and I'm sure that's why someone paid top dollar for it. Maybe they'll get the Beeney in to film the renovation!
