Certainly sounds like it moves a lot quicker than some of the programs on TV at the moment! :D

If you want to test plug in appliances Maplins do small plug in meters which you plug the appliance into, then into the socket. Opened my eyes to what 'small things' in my home use a lot.

Chasing the kids round switching lights off after them is keeping me fit aswell.

Good luck seeing where 'it's going'

From another 'above average' family :D
One day I might be more organised...........

Hey brought one of these meters attached to oil filed rad, results are 9.5 KWh used over 18.3 hours which by my reckoning is around is about a 1/5th of my daily usage  thats just 1 appliance !! have now put it on a timer so will check again tomo.

Also my other chief suspect the shower decided to leak into the downstairs loo so while we all shower in the bath i can see how much that was using.

  • Went on to uswitch and moneysupermarket both came up with Scottishpower based on last years actual consumption

'You could currently save a maximum of GBP2228 by switching your energy supply to SCOTTISHPOWER ONLINE.'

Is that as good as it sounds ?

Two Thousand plus pounds? That is serious saving!! I assume £222.80???

The impending price rise on a number of tariffs is being delayed at the moment, in the hope of persuading peoplel(like yourself) to change - then they will up their prices.

Unless you reduce your usage you will have high bills regardless to whom you give your custom.
