I used to be sent tesco emails with various offers and sometimes codes, but these have totally dried up now. I've had none for ages. I used to find the occasional online code and save on the delivery charge, but none of these have worked for me for around 4 months.
I think its quite unfair they seem to be blocking any sort of code from being used, and thus discriminating against their very regular shoppers.
I spent £98 this week, but couldn't even use a code for £1 off fresh vegetables, or extra points!
Ocado often send me codes and offers, I'm feeling quite tempted, but will they then follow suite? Surely Tesco could spare a couple of £'s from their profits to offer a free delivery or reduced delivery charge if you spend over £75?
They've even become stingy with their bags, and although I didn't ask for a box only delivery, that's what I've had on the last couple of deliveries - didn't get green clubcard points though, and I always re-use and recycle my bags, so they're not wasted. It takes a lot longer to carry items through to the kitchen, a few things at a time, rather than a bagful at a time!!
All the time with my saved heat escaping from the front door - thus wasting energy - and costing me more!
I hope you're reading this Tesco, as you don't seen to listen if I phone you!

Do what I've done. My account has not accepted codes for months and, those that seemed to be accepted, were blocked at checkout.
I've opened another account in my husband's name (using same Clubcard) and, hey presto, it's accepting codes ... well, some of them anywayWins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -

Can any one explain why the codes work for some and not others, its a mystery to me:mad:   would switch to Waitrose ot Ocado(do use when I get a code) but everytime I shop via mysupermarket, despite what Asda say Tesco is the cheapest by far for what I buy.
If you are not getting codes sent to you suggest you open another account if possible and wait for Tesco to email saying as you have not shopped for a while they will give you a code to tempt you back.....happened twice with OH and me:j0 -

I have the same problem - I order regularly and haven't bene able to get a discount or extra points code to work for me for months now - sometimes I can get to the point of placing the order and inputitng my bank details, but then the order bounces back due to the codes problemr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
many thanks, just used this and it worked fine.0

I know there are fewer codes about, but really don't know why people don't just set up a new email each time and that way some of the vouchers can be used time and time again. Simple!0

I think you'll find that's more and more people are opening new Tesco accounts to do just this ..Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0

Sadly I don't think I have got the wrong end of the stick. Some codes say that they can't be used, but most codes that I try say they have been used 'a maximum number of times'. When you hear of multiple accounts and 'banking' vouchers it becomes very clear. If everyone only used vouchers when they wanted to place an order there might be more to go around and therefore more money saving as I suspect many get wasted or unused (I think Tesco probably bank on this!)

Hope someone can answer this. I recently took out a free Tesco DVD rental trial for 30 days which gives 200 points. With the first DVD they sent, there is a code to give to a friend to get 200 points and a 30 day trial same as I did. I'd like to set it up for OH and put in my clubcard details to get the 200 points. Do you think it will allow me to do this? If not, it's still worth the 30 days free trial, but I'm saving up my points lol!
Thanks0
