No. Would've been perfect were it not for this with the heating. Gah!

From what I can tell the solar panels aren't outputting anything either. They should be feeding into the hot water, but don't appear to be doing anything at all.

This is rapidly becoming a proper nightmare.

Hehe, thanks. If you can convince a million of your friends to do the same I might be able to afford to switch the telly on.

I will do my best, it looks like a good read.

Anyway, try to get someone to check the settings, and don't try to run it like a conventional boiler, you will be advised to leave it running whilst it uses weather compensation patterns (if it has it) and night setback and/ or programmable room thermostat.

Quick update. Nothing on in the house all night. Heating and hot water set to off at the main control. Nobody in the house so no lights on. Electric units used between 11 last night and 9 this morning? 38.

    Bankruptcy, here we come!

Bazz@rr, see below from page 31 of instruction manual.

    Frost Protection

Regardless of whether the ATC is ON or OFF (i.e. when no Return Temperature is displayed) the following TWO levels of Frost protection will operate:

    1. When the Return water temperature Is equal or less than parameter 0 (default setting 2°C) AND the Ambient air temperature is equal or less than 7°C the Heat Pump enters the first level of Frost Protection and the circulating pump will start.

The pump will remain ON until the Return water temperature increases to 2°C above parameter 0 (i.e. 4°C with parameter 0 setting of 2°C).

    2. When the Return water temperature is equal or less than parameter 0 (default setting 2°C) AND the Ambient air temperature is equal or less than 5°C the Heat Pump enters the second level of Frost Protection and the Heat Pump will start.

The Heat Pump will remain ON until the Return water temperature is equal or greater than 8°C.

    NOTE

When either of these Frost Protection measures are in operation the code PP7 will be displayed on the ATC. This does NOT indicate a fault condition

There is an option to switch frost protection and the automatic immersion heater off, although the manual says not to leave it in that mode. It's -2 this morning and the meter is reading almost 100 units used in 24 hours, so I have no idea what to do with the bloody thing. Switch it off and get some bar fires, probably.
