we went last year for a possession order, but it wasnt granted due to my partner being unwell, as long as we continued to make payments, then we couldnt when he took ill again before his transplant

Do you have an eviction date? or have you a notification of a pending possession order?

  • it says we can pay the arrears to stop this but we cant afford to do that, i spent £50 a night staying in hospital accomodation and car park charges for 4 weeks in december! i just feel so out of control!

Can you afford any payment towards the arrears?

  • a bank can sell a mortgage without life cover we were told by the mortage advisor we dealt with 4 years ago, he tried to get cover with various companies but we were refussed due to pre exsisting medical conditions, so we couldnt have accident, sickness cover, unfortunately, hope that makes better sense?

You usually can pay by debit card if you phone them, I would urgently speak with the bank concerned tomorrow and ask them if you pay this months mortgage, will the repro be stopped.

I was going to say the same to the poster who mentioned a quarantee, you do not have to take any form of insurance out with a mortgage, sometimes people get refused for all sorts of reasons, I am not covered for strokes/heart attacks as I have a long family history of those dieases. So whats the point of paying £78 critical illness, when it doesn't cover you for the illnesses you particularly need.

I'II take my chance, like alot of people who cannot afford critical illness.
