I would call the intended reciprient of the letter and explain that you have his/her details. Suggest to them that they contact their MP and police as the CSA have quite clearly contravened the Data Protection Act, in which they - the CSA - are deemed as Data Controllers who have failed to safegaurd personal data, which is an offence.
It also makes me wonder why no-one has taken the governament to the police yet on the same count for all the data they have lost over the last few months.:wave:0 -
Enemes thank you so mcuh, I needed to hear somthing like that! I will contact our MP and see what he has to say. I sent a letter today to the person in question asking them to call me.
Thanks again, all this CSA stff is hard to get your head around.0 -
I rung the CAB about the information I have received,0

There's a malice part of me thinking that you should scan the information and put it up on the web for everyone to see ... that would get the CSA clambering about in a panic!:wave:0

I took post off for reason, but let you all know at a later day why!0

i worked for the csa and they get loads all i can tell you that complaining once is not enough
after your first complain wait four weeks and complain again seriously because the first complaint will go to the bottom of a very big pile0 -

I agree that you should get in touch with this person so that they can decide if they want to take action.
I was one of the many thousands of people who had data lost from the DWP and I wrote to our local police to make an official complaint about it ,but they didnt want to know and told me to contact the DWP.
Didnt write to the DWP as didnt know who else would end up with the letter!!!!!0 -
did you know that if you go on the government web site and go to epetitions and type in csa there are loads of petitions you can sign with regards to the csa.you can also email gordon brown about you problems with the csa!i have done this i dont expect to get any where but it made me feel better knowing that he might read it and take notice of the csa problems from my point of view.more of us disgruntled parents should do this0

ive been browsing through many areas on this forum , being new
. i personally dont have any thing to do with the csa nor do i have kids but a very good friend of mine does and has the most horrendous problems with the csa. he has no problem supporting his kids at all, but the amount they take make it almost impossible for him to have any kind of life and he works very hard. anyway he has contacted an organisation
www.nacsa.co.uk
they are independent from csa or the government, they are specialists in this field and i would advise anyone having problems to contact them.0 -
It makes me laugh they sent me someones payslips (including their bank details NI etc) their bank statements and a full list of their debts. All this came through the post with my daughers birth certificate. I rang the guy at his works and told him and he was furious I sent them to his home address for him but a few swear words came out of his mouth first before he told me the address on the bank statement was still his current one.0
