I have to laugh at some of the people who put regular comments on,they read what they want to read and take the parts that suit them.
I dont hide behind some silly name.i,ve been prepared to put not only my name but other peoples names on here.
I have stated before so many so called experts have an opinion on what solar power can save and contribute to a households energy bills, for example in yesterdays sunday times, one expert quoted savings of 5.5% of total energy bills, futher down the article the S.T.A stated that 30% of total enery bills could be achieved by solar power.
By the way our system is capable of producing upto 9800 kwhs per year.
The tests on our system were not carried out by ourselves but by experts of the S.T.A, it was there findings that stated 1 person using 2sqms of a simplee solar panels could produce 100% of hot water per annum, 2 people using 2sqms of simplee solar panels could produce upto 73.6% of hot water per annum.

What i advise people to do if they have ordered a system from my company is talk to Ivan Hancock at the Dorset Trading Standards, He is the top man there by the way, let him tell you what we have put in place to make sure the customer is protected as much as possible, you will also hear how our complaints level has dropped by over 80%.

To put you all in the picture after lots of thought we have decided that as from the 4th june 2007 we will be allowing a 7 day cooling off period, the law does not require we give one, we are also going to apply for membership of the S.T.A, lets see what they do with our application. We also have 2 iso standards, visit website to confirm.
When we started our company we were based in Ringwood,Hampshire, we ran our company on recommendations from the Hampshire Trading Standards, Sarah Ridley was our advisor, When we moved offices 2 miles away in Wimborne, we came under the Dorset Trading Standards, we believed that the word standard would mean wherever you are in the country the same rules and requirements would apply.
And thats where the problem starts, the word standard should not be allowed as it is the opion of each individual office that counts.

So instead of moaning and complaining about the past, how about taking your hats off for a company that didn,t change their name after the problems, but accepted the punishment and invited the Trading Standards in to our office to work with us to eliminate any problems and make us the most ethical solar power company in the UK.

Cardew you need to get a job and stop scrounging off us tax payers, you get the hump because i say i was digusted with a comment you made, your comment was completely untrue, but no you could not say sorry for your mistake, what you do is write a comment that is rude and offensive.
I wouldn,t employ you to wash my car.
And dont reply as i cant be bothered with lowlifes like you,
I came on here to give our point of view, AND also to give advice to people who want help like redwasp, and trust me i can help people with facts not thoughts as you have. And more importantly if these people really want out of the contract, believe me i can do more help for them in a 15 minute phone call, then you or anybody else on here could do in 5 years with your so called not so expert advice.
So if you people really want to help others on here, maybe you should read my posts with a open mind and see i,m not hiding behind anything, i,m not afraid to mention, names places, etc i can back my comments up.
But for people on here who reallt do feel they have problem not only with us, but other solar companies, i,m prepared to talk and advise you how to get the problem sorted out as quick as possible, and with the least amount of financial loss to yourselves.

I make this offer to all genuine people who have had problems with solar companies

I hope the moderator does not remove the above post as it speaks volumes for the attitude of the Managing Director of Simplee Solar. Getting the posts deleted will also no doubt be the aim.

I predicted procrastination and obfuscation and that is exactly what we have.

Instead of personal insults, why not:

    1. Comment on the average amount of energy(in kWh) used by households to produce of Domestic Hot Water -
    is 5,000kWh reasonable?

    2. Comment on the average 1,200kWh output of the 8 systems on the DTI trial.

    3. Give the outputs in kWh achieved by your systems, not a theoretical maximum.

One of your rivals – SolarTwin – who are members of the STA is honest enough to state in its literature that an average annual output of its system is 1,000kWh across the UK. That ranges from 800kWh pa in N Scotland to 1,300kWh in SW England. That correlates with the output achieved on their system in the DTI trial.

Could you please use that as a benchmark and tell us how much more efficient your systems are – 25% better? 50% better? twice as good? 3 times as good?

It is absolutely pointless as you well know to quote your system providing up to 76.3% of annual hot water for a couple. As said before the “up to” term renders that meaningless. The crucial question is what is the total energy(in kWh) used by this hypothetical couple for all their Hot Water p.a. e.g. is it 76.3% of 2,000kWh? or 76.3% of 3,000kWh? Please let us know.

So I ask again what is the expected/anticipate/achieved output in kWh of your installed systems please. Your responses will have absolutely no credibility unless you provide that data.

But you are not going to give us that figure in kWh are you?

I have already put figures on this thread regarding the output of our system.
And as i have already pointed out,i,m not hiding behind some silly annonymous name.

Solar Twin advertise in there leaflets that you can get 100% pumped hot water.
Now to a layman what would you think the above comment means.

And as i have pointed out in a previous post, i can give people such as redwasp proper advice on contracts, not opinions, but facts.

But some people here prove my point they are not here to help, more to cause problems for people,Carew i,m really not interested in what you have to say,now if you were to put your name and contact details on here as i have, then its very possible that i will answer questions, but as i already know a lot of these posts are from rival comapanies i dont think you will. And as for personal insults, very choice from somebody who deliberately tried to mis-lead people into thinking that we in some way were connected to sky energy.

But as i stated in a previous post anybody who wants geniune advice or help regarding problems with solar companies including mine,i am more then willing to help.
  • Im afraid im now closing this thread and would ask the main posters to take a little time away from this topic and take a deep breath.

I really can see both sides here, but the issue has now gotten beyond simple fact giving and has become personal again, as it has on other threads. Despite our previous intervention, and that of Rex, it seems we are still unable to be civil.

Please consider our job; we want this discussion to continue but we cannot allow people to keep bickering in this manner. We dont want to close or in some cases remove threads but if people ignore the warnings and rules of this site (including "Please be nice to other moneysavers"), we are left with little choice.
