  • I ain't a fan of the grey rainy days either! I should be out training for the Bath Half Marathon which is mid March and I have done hardly any training, which is not good! But at least it keeps most of the chavs at bay as they seem to stay indoors when the weather is rubbish! Had a right mouthful off of a load of them last night on the way home, makes me want to take off that heavy D lock on my bike and knock them all out! Little peckers! They are soooo rude. I was never like that when I was younger, they have no fear about anything....they just don't care......grrrrrrrrr!

Which area of bristol do you live donna? I live in bristol too, although i think i told you that before?

I ran my first one last year in Cardiff...basically when I started, I couldn't run to the end of the road as I nearly passed out I was that tired and out of breath. But I kept on and stuck to a 14 week training program and at the end of the 14 weeks, I could run the entire 13.1 miles! It felt amazing to finish! Was so chuffed with myself, I should have been practicing but the weather is soooo rubbish I haven't been out much as everytime I would get soaked part was! Not good! I really toned up when I started running, got fab legs...now just got flab legs! Gonna hopefully get out on Sunday morning and go for a long run and see how I feel! Always feel better when I have finished as it produces loads of good endorphins or something!

Wow, you managed that distance after such a short time - how did you do it so quickly?

  • I was running about 3 times per week, lots of different runs like fast and slow alternates, hill runs which were horrible and then a longer run on a Sunday. Starts off very easy like 10 mins (which I had mega problems with to begin with) and gradually progresses. Honestly you should have seen me at the start, really thought I was gonna collapse! I have the schedule if you are interested, just PM me and I can email it to you!

I was walking home from school last week, and decided I would see if I could run to the end of the road. Just as I was gonna start, a house alarm started, and I chickened out because it would've looked so suspicious me running and an alarm going off :rotfl:

    PM on the way :D
