  • Sounds like you are making good progress Donner all these baby steps will lead you to where you want to be and I'm looking forward to reading all about it.

I can't wait to read you are both going on your first holiday and that you've passed your test.

What a good example you are to your daughter, she may not show it now but when she is grown and has children of her own she will look back and be amazed at what you gave to her in terms of security, love, good examples and motivation.

Good luck with the running Donna. Does Emily run with you ? Take care X

Phew, just got back! I was ummming and arrrring about going this morning as it is very windy and cold and looked like it was about to hammer down with rain, but I knew if I didn't, I would spend most of the morning snoozing in bed and then spend the whole day feeling annoyed at myself for not running! Plus this half marathon is only next month, so really need to be out when I can. Gonna aim to go out twice a week at lunchtimes and then do the longer run on the Sunday. Managed to shave 20 seconds off per mile today which I was really pleased with. I need to still get faster, but hoping this will come with practice. Emily used to say she finds running 'boring' like everything else you can possibly think of, but now she has said she would like to have a go to! She has very long legs and would be perfect for it...not like me with my tree trunks :o ! I have decided that after I get this half out of the way next month, I will start running with her to see what she thinks. I will try and get her a cheap tracksuit from ebay and she has trainers already that are suitable so that would be great! Do her good to get some exercise and it would be something we could do together too. She is very slim and I worry about her sometimes. She eats well but there is nowt to her. I hope that is normal!

Thank you! I hope she thinks that too...my dad brought me and my brother up on his own since I was 6 and my brother was 3. He had to give up work and we never saw our mum after that. I have so much admiration for my dad, he is the most amazing man in the world and I love him very much. I hope he is as proud of me as I am of him. So hopefully Emily will feel the same when she is older. I really can't wait till our first holiday...it will be amazing! I have my driving test on Thursday afternoon, 2nd attempt now! Feeling positive but they are soooooo picky and only 40% of people pass which is probably why it is so hard to pass. Well will give it my best, that is all I can do! I nearly cried when I failed, I was so upset.

Right I need to jump in the shower cause I smell! :D Don't smell too bad, but then it ain't too good either! Back soon! xxx

    Hey Donna
Well done on the run this morning...seems like you are changing many things in your life for the better. Im sure it won't be long until you pay off your debts and you and Emily can have that holiday in the sun together. Its nice to have something to aim towards! Mine is a house....not over ambitious at all!!
Have you done an amended SOA since meeting with Martin? I seem to be obsessed updating and moving money around, looking at spreadsheets. DH can't get his head around my new way of life.

    Hi Donner

Things sound good for you (apart from seeing the wrong film this week, lol). Glad its all going so well - and it sounds like the childcare money being freed up by holidays means that you've got some leeway to overpay big time on the credit cards, plus you get time with your daughter, thats great. Hope it carries on going so well.

Thanks everyone! I will be going over the Driving Show Me, Tell Me questions later to refresh my mind ready for the test. I really need to sort out my SOA asap really. Once I know if I have passed my test, I will be able to have a slightly shorter lunch so I can get back to Emily on the Friday. I need to get all my paperwork up together again and try and sort out this SOA. I am gonna try doing my first mealplan in a bit and see how it goes. I am also gonna make some soup up for the week at work, hopefully that won't take me too long. I have also found 2 pairs of shoes which I am gonna list on ebay this evening...right meal planning....where do I start? I am gonna take a looksy in the freezer and see what I can make! Got to be healthy foodies where possible though, weighted myself this morning and am 11 stone and a half. I deally want to get back down to 10 stone and a half. Righteo, I am first going to login to the Internet Banking and pay the money I would have spent on my Council Tax and pay it towards a card...then have everything else to do! Be back soon xxx

OK, have paid the Council Tax money off of one of my cards, soup is on the stove and have done a meal plan until Friday night. I found it quite difficult really...dunno why as it should be straight forward but seemed to take me ages to think up what we could have to eat! Have photographed the shoes so am now gonna put them on ebay. Hope they sell, just a worry as postage will be quite high as they are heavy!

Hello all! Just a quick post this morning to let everyone know I am still 'ere! Monday night was manic and last night me and Emily went to our first footie match, Bristol Rovers against Cheltenham Town. We live a few minutes from the Rovers ground so makes sense to go and check out the local team...being we have been here for nearly 6 years! Great game, loved it! Money wise, I have been told I can claim 10 hours overtime for some work I done a few Saturdays ago...and this is at time and a half :) So that will be put towards a card when I get paid at the end of the month...yay! Chuffed with that! Am all over the shop today, busy buzzy bumble bee so better go and get the madam out of bed! Will be back later for proper update but will be having an early night due to dreaded driving test tomorrow! Take care all xxx
