i could afford about £30-40 per month to pay back, but no more, maybe best getting a loan to pay it back?sineadgraham wrote: »That happened to me.I made a genuine mistake when i gave them the wrong information regarding my husbands annual income. After i received a letter from them re my award notice, i contacted them to tell them that i had made a mistake. They had paid me an extra £1500 so they informed me that i wouldnt receive any tax credits until the money was paid back.I only get the basic amount per month and have been paying this back since sept 05 and will have finally repaid it back come sept 08.Live in my shoes for a week, then tell me your lifes hard!0 -

no these payments should stop(havent yet)as i get a fair whack now,so will end up owing overpayments for 06/07 and 07/08,could total thousands even if i get money for 08/09 period i,ll still owe money on top of thatAs you still get tax credits now, they will take back the overpayment from the payments you get now.Live in my shoes for a week, then tell me your lifes hard!0 -
