Mothercare Cot spares

Our second child is on the way and I've just gone to build the cot that's been in the attic and I'm missing a part to fix the base to the sides.
It's a mothercare cot and I've rang there spares department but they don't do them any more (It's only 3 years old!).
Does anyone know of any third parties who do spares for mothercare cots? Bit annoying having to spend another £100+ on a cot when I'm only missing one piece.
Thanks.

Is it something that you could get an equivalent from a hardware shop? Or ideas of how to make an equivalent? I'm not talking the megastores here, I'm talking your little local shop which smells of ironmongery, if you're fortunate enough to have one!Signature removed for peace of mind0

i posted the same question about 3 months ago, we are looking for a little plastic bit for the sides that go up and down for ours, i know how you feel, its so frustrating isnt it?hope you find what your looking for, if you find anywhere please let me know.
thanksappreciate what you have got x0 -
do you mean one of the bed bolts and nuts.
my secondhand cot was missing some. i went into our local, and small, bed and mattress shop, and they were happy to give these to me for free. they were the same sort of fittings as for most wooden bed frames.0 -
it is the little plastic thing that holds the side piece that goes up and down up, if that makes sense!!appreciate what you have got x0

The bit I'm missing is one of four that holds the base to the sides. It is plastic with a threaded metal hole in.0

Tried, and it's no one has one like it
Thanks for all the help everyone but it looks like I'll be buying a new cot. Not too bad as this is our second child we have almost everything. Although if it's a girl, she'll have to be a tomboy0 -
i ahvent tried asking yet for any parts, but that is very annoying you having to buy a brand new cot!!try round the little shops and see if the part may fit, it is worth a try eh?good luckappreciate what you have got x0

I would complain to mothercare. Surely even if they have stopped producing a product they should still be able to provide parts for it? I've had sooo many problems with mothercare products though.
I think the bit you're talking about is pretty much a standard thing - ie I can't imagine that they would come in different sizes - I'm sure they could rustle you one up from somewhere, after all they still make cots don't they?!It's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know0 -
Yep, they still make cots, but they are fixed differently now. I actually wnet and had a good look around at the cots in stock.0
