Car hire Spain/Portugal

I narrowed my holiday choice to Costa del Sol and Algarve.
As far as car hire is concerned I got myself confused so I went to travelsupermarket.com to help me out but with all this terms and conditions it seems to be too complicated (or is it?)
The deals I'm considering are:
Faro Airport: SIXT (£154), EasyCar (£158), Alamo (£165)
With this one I want to be able to travel to Spain without extra charges (if possible)
Malaga Airport: EasyCar (£130), SIXT (£148), CarHire3000 (£149)
I don't want full tank (or pay for full tank) as I heard they often overcharge you
I want to be able to change my reservation (at lowest possible cost)
I want t be able to book with my Visa delta debit card and pay cash on arrival at the airport
I have no idea about insurance I need
Any recommendation or experience with other car hire companies?

economycarhire.com. Based in UK, well worth a call. We paid £100 for a week hire of a Pug 207 in the Algarve last October and £300 for an MPV in Menorca in June
On both occasions full insurance included with no excess payable, no fuel charges - take car back with same amount of fuel as it came with, payment may be an issue, call them.
Most Algarve hire companies will allow trips into Spain, what doesn't extend to Spain is breakdown cover.0 -
When we go to Spain we usually use https://www.carjet.com They usually have the best deals and always give you 10% off

Avis seems to be quite expensive, the discount codes (40% discount) lowered the quote only by £13.00
I also read about the controversy fuel policy
I don't think I'll go with them
Just checking now the other recommended....Information - never enough, questions - always too many, decisions - not always the best

economycarhire.com is an agent company
their cheap suppliers: travel rent and air auto both require credit card when collecting the vehicle from airport
plus air auto charges you for fuel, so this one is a

that one is even better

Well you asked for advice and tried to help...
I can't tell you how many times we have used Carjet and we have NEVER had any problems with them (we use them when we go to Murcia/Alicante) We usually get a free upgrade too.
You can cancel WITHOUT a fee and PAY WHEN YOU GET THERE for your rental...and you are fully covered with insurance!
